On a fishing trip to the coast, my cousins, brother and I inadvertently ended up at the motel where she died. I was sitting right by the door where she collapsed when someone popped in asking what room number she had stayed at. Such a loss of a talented artist. RIP Selena
She was an absolute angel! I was ten years old when she died and had been looking forward to going to a concert of hers with a Mexican family that I knew in the future! I was on the way home from school on the bus when the news broke Accross the country and they released her song “dreamin of you” in her Honor that day! Knowing her tragic story and listening to that song I cry thinking about her almost every single time I hear it! She was such an icon and encouraged kids to stay in school, had traditional family values and wanted to be a mother one day. She will never be forgotten. Her songs are still Played all over the world.
