Almost the whole of last year I was the hardest one I found my self reading and meditating the book of psalms and over and over I prayed through......I really thank God for visiting me during the year
Off to a good start in studying the book of Psalms. Like most, I enjoy reading the Psalms, yet I can't say I have studied it. So this is an opportunity to dig in, not just read but actually study it. One of my favorite chapters is the longest one Chapter 150 with 176 verses. I learned from another teacher that it is an acoustic of the Hebrew alphabet comprising of 22 parts of eight verses each. I guess that I could have figured that out but hadn't. What I like is how it exalts the Word of God so highly and the wisdom and benefits of living by it. Thank you, Pastor Mark for helping us through it.

Psalms are the rythm and tune of David's heart; strings adjusted by God🎻. His heart plays the note🎶rhyming with his whole soul. The Heart is the king of musical instruments. It is an organic/natural musical instrument and the whole body is a grand piano🎹 everybody part, if listened to, makes music. The blinking eyes, smiling lips😊, the breathing in and out, the stomping feet. Every creature makes it own music, music sheet/life's instructions given by God/Author of the music instrument. We are music instruments. David played the harp too The Psalms are David's experiences with God, expressed in words & actions. The heart/mind is a spring of thoughts, words and actions (proverbs 4:23 Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.) True Cleaving takes two (Jesus and David) to construct connections consciously ❤🌱True Vine and the branches are connected to bear much fruit 🍍🫐🍇🍉🍍🍓🍒🍎🌽🍋🍈 Heart to heart🚸the cleaving process, priority in traffic laws😊, the abiding explained in John 15, the bonding and establishment of cords✝️(vertical +horizontal) that cannot be broken, one-on-one with the Author of our Life and others. (Great command: Love the Lord your God and your neighbour) God is intentional. He separates us from parents/home sweet home like He did with Abraham, Moses, John Baptist, Nebuchadnezzar and David to teach us His Way Solitude: time with God Man shall leave his father and mother and start on a journey of cleaving with God ❤🎉🪜and every round goes higher and higher. Very poetic. It must be noted though that David is not the sole author of the Psalms. Scholars have identified at least 6-7 authors for the book of Psalms.

From Sundays lesson, did we do this in our worship?...Psalms 149-150 was incorporated into the daily prayers in the synagogue morning services. The Psalms did not only accompany the people’s worship, but they also instructed them on how they should worship God in the sanctuary.

I have this burning question. Seventh day Adventist Church I grew up in was always a Bible teaching and keeping church. It hurts my feelings and my spirit is bothered to see how they are teaching the little children that Jesus Christ was born on 25th Dec and they are bowing to this tradition of Christmas which is contradicting the word of God (bible) which never mentions anything about celebrating the birth of Christ! Christ himself never did nor his mother Mary.
I recently listened to a sermon by Pastor Mark and he said that Jesus was not born on December 25 but sometime in the fall. I haven't heard of any SDA pastors saying it was actually on Dec 25 but I don't know who you have heard that from. There probably are some SDA that have compromised but we can't automatically say that EVERY pastor is doing certain things. They all need our prayers as it's a tough job and the devil sees them as an even greater target.
We do not believe and teach that Jesus was born on December 25th. But since that is what most of the world believes although ignorantly, we use this season as an opportunity to share the good news of the birth of Christ to the world.
