- Vehicles with Manual Power Steering generally experiences a small tightness. So it necessary for it to make its working at its maximum smmothness. This Steering Tightness in car with Manual Steering experiences mainly due to the lack of lubrication in the Steering Box. Tightness during a particular position happens due to the lack of lubrication in the Universal Joints of Steering Intermediate Shaft. Also if the vehicle is parked for some week, a tightness for a short time will occur. Greasing the Steering Box and Intermediate Shaft at right time will increase its smoothness. If the vehicle having power steering, checking power steering fluid, power steering pump, hoses, etc is needed. Even after experiencing this tightness even the parts are lubricated, checking all parts with a mechanic is needed.

How will be the manual steering in general because I heard it is tough like that is it true kindly tell me your experience bro
Manual Steering is fun to drive in old vehicles if we enjoys driving that. But in practically, it is tough especially during turning while vehicle is not in motion and driving in slow speeds in uneven roads. Power Steering and Manual Steering are approximately similar while driving in normal speeds. But Manual Steering needs about 5% - 10% more power to turn in these speeds also. During long trips we get little more tired than driving power steering vehicles. But Handling is not affected while driving and it also ensures a good stability. Proper greesing and maintaintence will conserves its own smoothness.

What is the steering box ( normal or power ) tell me
Steering box or Steering Column is a mechanism situated below the platform. It converts the rotary motion of the steering to sliding motion and makes the tyres to turn left and right. It consits of a rack and pinion setup in manual steering equipped cars.
Power steering equipped cars have a fluid gallery like mechanism in this steering column which provides force to turn the wheel along with force given to the steering.
Most of the present day cars have Electronic power steering consists of a motor which assists the force given to the steering.

Sir, Our Ambassador Car with BMC Engine is also experiencing this. It is common for a Ambassador Car with Diesel Engine of this old. When we asked to a mechanic, he says that cleaning the Nossles (Fuel Injector) and cleaning and calibrating the High Pressure Pump is required if the problem is with it. It can also occur due to blocked Air Filter. First thing is to check is the Air filter. If the air filter is not clean, fuel does not burn well and black smoke occurs. So checking in detail with a mechanic is better.

Sir, Ambassador Car ൻ്റെ Air Pressure ഒരിടത്തും അത്ര കൃത്യമായി പറയുന്നില്ല. പല ടയർ ഷോപ്പിലും പല Pressure ലാണ് Fill ചെയ്യുന്നത്. എന്നിരുന്നാലും നമ്മൾ Front Tyres (5-90-15 Nylon) ൽ 34 PSI യും Back Tyres (165/80R15 Radial) ൽ 32 PSI യുമാണ് Fill ചെയ്യുന്നത്.
