The Antonine Wall

A walk up to Croy hill to visit the site of the fort and impressive rock cut ditch. The Romans built the Antonine wall following the death of Hadrian in AD139-142 but on the death of emperor Antoninus Pius the troops withdrew back to Hadrian’s Wall leaving a few forts in what is now Scotland.
