Just to put it out there.. You can still be a Catholic and have a deep relationship with God with an understanding of what it means to live for Christ but I know what Paul meant. Truthfully it’s about what you put into to it as far as having a strong relationship with God. It’s all about living a surrendered life towards God and whole heartedly trusting in Him as our Savior. I love Paul’s approach towards praise and worship and all that contemporary stuff which I actually prefer, just as long as it’s sincere and deeply rooted in Gods word. The only real difference between the Catholic Church and the Christian (Born-again) church is the emphasis of recognition of Mother Mary’s importance and there’s a different level of respect for her role in the Kingdom of God. Catholics that may appear over do it, but in reality Catholics don’t actually worship her but rather we ask her to pray for us, just as you would ask your mother to pray for you of course we still pray directly for God’s help.
