I love love love pepsi Max and i wanna get one of these purely for the pepsi Max I've watched a few videos the same as this one and alot of people say you can tell the difference and the pepsi Max soda stream tastes different , but then in this video you've said it actually tastes the same which is good to hear , I just don't wanna spend all the money on it to then try it and think oh this tastes nothing alike or not the same
@@mgtracey I see so I guess to make it the same also you would recommend 5 presses of the button where as some people do less , so it would taste more flat
Can you over gas the bottle by doing too many presses ? Is there some kind of safety valve. Do u use expired bottles ? I got a couple 1 year past expiry but I'm good condition. Is it true u can get bodily damage if bottle exploded. Thanks
Nah, and mixing the carbonated wated with the syrup after will remove some of the carbonation itself. It doesn't make this much different yet it is more expensive than a few six packs of 0.5l mineral water and random syrup lol
@@HedgeyOfficial It's not "chemicals" or just any chemical. Sugar and sugar replacements like sucralose have edges that the CO² quickly latches on to when agitated and then releases from the water. So the CO² you put into the water and syrup mixture, immidiatly releases instead of in pure water where the CO² and HO² can bond first before gently adding the sugar. It's the mentos trick. Let it go in soft and it's fine but drop that ball of sugar into a bottle of a carbonated drink and it starts a chain reaction of CO² release.
Whenever Im sick, my appetite for fancy or different drinks skyrockets for no reason. I really want a sodastream machine now. Goddamnit.
Love mine
I wish we could get Mountain Dew Code Red, Mountain Dew Voltage and Sierra Mist.

It is the same, but you have to be precise on the amount of concentrate you add, that’s all . Paul

It's pretty close. I bought a water filter which helps a lot.
Try the Sodastream own brand Lemon and Lime... I found it nicer than the 7up and a little bit cheaper too
Thanks I will try it - Paul
Still find it weird that it's not sold here in the states.
Yeah true!! They’re available here in Australia too saw them today lol
Plus others like
Mountain Dew
They here in California
Import it from amazon uk
They're available all over Ireland too, it's a shame they don't sell them in the states

There is a safety valve. It’s quite loud ! No do not use out of date bottles they can explode and should be recycled.
You can only use expired bottles as normal bottles, not to carbonate with. Buy glass, that never expires
I use a Soda Stream Crystal with Glass bottles , they wont explode
pepsi owns sodastream so hopefully there shouldnt be any taste differences
Really important to get a concentrate mix accurate for it to taste like Pepsi
can you not put the syrup in, and mix it before the carbonation process?
No it will fizz over and sort of explode !
@@mgtracey There was me thinking that it was obvious science what happens when you mix chemicals with carbonation.

Possibilities are endless can you figure out them
If only they didn't stop with their Xtreme energy (tastes almost identical like RedBull) and their classic cola (almost tastes like Coca-Cola) syrups!
For some reason we can't get these in the US
oh dear that a shame, it transforms the use of a #sodastream
Could be some regulations that say you can't sell food products with too much of an ingredient to consumers, for example, sugar / caffeine etc.
@@hippopotamus86 we have the Energy variants which is basically Red Bull. I would assume it is licensing. 7 up is not under Pepsi Co here in the US.
Yes, because the FDA does not allow the chemicals used in there.
They realesed them finally in america🎉 but they were very late
Does the soda stream make your drinks cold or do you have to refrigerate?
No its not plugged in, just a gas cylinder. Chill water in bottle before carbonation
Put the Sodastream bottles in the coldest back of the fridge, for the 4°C, 2°C even better for maximized carbonation!
Pepsi is parteners form sodastream
PepsiCo own it !
@@mgtracey yes
I bought pepsi max, 7up, mirinda and lipton peach syrups today and they all teste like battery acid. It's nowhere near the original taste.
Pepsi and sweeteners ? No way! Don't poison yourself!
UK sweetners meet different standards to US, so hopefully better than all the sugar....
It's still probably better than the corn syrup in American soda
what? sweeteners are better then corn syrup....far healthier
sweetners are disgusting? Bring back full sugar ones !!!!
Uk sugar taxes have distorted the market
