    Thanks for the great video! My issue is that there are lots of suggestions on ANY such healing protocol that you might not be doing ENOUGH. There are always those people who go full 110% on any healing plan and compared to them I constantly feel like I'm not doing good enough, I'm not strict enough = I won't heal. Also some doctors say things like "if you eat outside of the plan even once you might ruin weeks worth of progress". I just heard this yesterday ^^" Hard not to stress out about an already extremely restrictive diet plan. Also when illness has been going on for long and you don't improve/get flares, it's easy to feel you aren't doing enough, so you should restrict more = sacrifice more. I try not to be stressed about it but I feel like I'm running in circles.

      Hi! Thanks for watching! That is the issue all of us have faced from time to time. The truth is that we can always do more for our health - it is a bottomless pit and there's always someone who is doing more (although we have no idea how well they are doing physically or emotionally doing that) - but there comes a point when enough is enough with diet and supplements to support the body to repair. Ultimately our body does all the work, so rather than approaching our diets from a scarcity beliefs and mindset it is a whole lot less stressful (calming to our nervous system and therefore supportive of healing) to take the perspective that everything we are doing helps our bodies. Imagine sitting an exam and going in feeling like you've done enough study versus feeling like you haven't studied enough - one is calm versus anxious and stressed. If we feel like what we're doing is enough we're calm and can make rational decisions about what to do next. The place of running around in circles can be a sign of emotional overwhelm. That's a place I got to and a lot of my clients get to. So the focus is always to calm those voices down so that our body can use all the wonderful things we're doing to repair and rebuild. ❤❤❤

      Oh I heard that Dr yesterday too! I feel your pain on the matter and it is something I still need to work on. I really like that Dr because she stresses also the mental part of it but I hear you in the sense it kind of contradicts. Altough I understand that she puts you on a specific protocol that supposedly is not going to last forever. I've just try to see it that for certain people the stress from the diet could be far worse than the little "cheat"...Or you could see it as if you do not do it perfectly you will heal not that quick but you'll heal at the end 😄. Anyways the mental part is a big one for healing and you might discover that at the end it has a much bigger impact than the diet 😊.

    Great video! This is what I find myself struggling with with the medical medium protocols. Sometimes I find myself feeling so obsessed over food all of the time and worrying about what ingredients are in my meals when I eat out. I tried to remind myself that life is about balance, and I do the best that I can when I’m at home, but even then I’m not going to force myself to eat something I’m dreading if I want to change it up sometimes. I want to be content with going all in with most of the protocols for a longer period of time to heal quicker, but I’m just realizing that it’s not realistic for someone like myself and I will just back out again if I try to go too extreme.

      Thanks for sharing Talina. It's very common on protocols like that to feel this way, because of course you want to heal quickly. It's the emotions around it that people get stuck in which cause the issue. Working on your relationship with the protocol and foods will help you get unstuck so you can benefit from what you are doing and be consistent, but also enjoy your life while you are healing. ❤️

      Hey Ken, thank you I appreciate your support! It's interesting you mention burn out because I've seen people in that emotional state from their diets, it's a hard place to be - and definitely not healing or supportive of recovery - people get anxious, sad and frustrated. I'm glad you've found something that feels better for you than the burn out diets - that is so important. This will make you laugh - I did karaoke on the weekend! 😂 Have a good one!

    Very useful Rachel. You know I struggle with the dietary approach😉 . 1st step for me is going "consistenly" away from processed foods. After that a WFPB seems doable. Or some "light" MM. Raw vegan seems like the holly grial for me and I've created both (+) and (-) beliefs around it. But overall I've always felt that it was the least doable for me altough I saw (+) signs during the at most 4 weeks I could sustain it in the middle of the european summer😂

      Thanks Victoria! You'll definitely get there. The small steps are the way we change any habit. Going from 0 to 100 is difficult and not sustainable. I think what you have planned is much better and I guess checking in with your body and how it feels about your plan is really the way you will know for sure. Raw is great in a warm climate, not so much when it's freezing 😂

    What about salt? Should I decrease salt intake and is himalayan salt better for dysautonomia than sea salt?

      @Bellissima2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Absolutely no salt is critical for dysautonomia

    What are the top medical medium supplements you recommend? There are a lot of options but I want to start slow.

      I'm not a nutritionist, my focus is on the mind body connection. But I know that zinc, b12, vitamin c, b-complex are the absolute basics people start with because they support the immune system.

    Hi Rachel , Is it ok to eat buckwheat? I have hashimoto and I started Medical Medium protocol, but couldn't find information about buckwheat

    • @rachelAO
      @rachelAO  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi, I seem to remember that buckwheat isn't recommended - it's millet and oats which are favored on that protocol. All the best in healing from Hashimoto's ❤
