Thank you for sharing your personal stories with us, I'm sure it's not easy to talk about the sad parts in your relationship with your mom. But I'm glad that you decided to learn from that experience and avoid practising all those negative actions with your lovely child. God bless you all, you are a beautiful family 🙏🏻❤️
I heard about her story and i had to ask her privately and she really adviced me on how to be a best mom even though i don't live with my child an glad my relationship with my child improve since that time❤
i dont usually comment on anything, but i have to say that your daughter is a really lucky girl to have such amazing parents.. thank you for sharing your stories with us Sheila, youre amazing x
Listening to you talk about your childhood and what you want to do differently with your daughter made me tear up you sound like an amazing mother and you sound like you will continue to be an amazing mother
Way to go, great parenting from you both! You guys are raising her right, especially when it comes to tablets & phones. My nieces and nephews are glued to those devices and when their parents try to take it away they throw a tantrum. Even though you went through a traumatic childhood, it wasn’t in vain. That experience prepared you to be the best mother for your baby she is safe and she will never forget it. Through that you heal your inner child ❤. Thank you for sharing Shiela!
When I was a kid, my parents always asked me what I did at school that day, so by the time I was a teenager, I would automatically tell them what I did in the day and we would laugh together a lot about the funny stories. So I think it is possible to have a strong bond even as parent and teenager
Also, in a situation where there's a baby younger than your baby in the same building that has trouble falling asleep but when she does your baby has a meltdown and starts screaming. You're aware of the other baby and have the parents have expressed themselves about the effects of the meltdown would you just let your baby cry and have the meltdown without shushing her? Please do not take offence, the concept of gentle parenting has raised a lot of questions for me.
To your point, I too was wondering if they take into consideration how their baby's meltdowns affect those around them? Like you said, no offense to them, but the concept of "gentle parenting" should not mean disregarding others in public or shared spaces. To me, it's rather inconsiderate when/if the parent(s) does nothing to control the meltdown, esp. around others. This is not a poor reflection on Sheila and IB at all. It's just that children need discipline of some sort. To me, "gentle parenting" yields bratty, undisciplined behavior.
Hi Sheila, thank you for the video. I am 21 years old, and a student living in Africa and I relate so much to the stories you tell because even though times changed not all parents have moved away from the old style of parenting. Your videos help me fall asleep after long sessions of studying. Weirdly today, I couldn't fall asleep because I was too invested in the story. So with gentle parenting, how do you discipline your baby?
It would be nice with a close up session with scratch, nitpicking and blowing. Like some of the older videos without talking. Love your videos. Marry Christmas 🎄
If you like zombie stuff, train to busan is a very good kdrama movie. If you like romance shows. Queen of tears is on Netflix it’s very good. If you like reality tv type shows, singles inferno. Very good and underrated
Toddlers have meltdowns for completely random reasons ..😂😂😂. I don't miss it at all! Teenagers are challenginge, too, but nothing compares to a toddler having a tantrum.
Hi my beautiful couple I'm one of your 900's followers I've been watching your videos for years and I really really miss your scratching without tools only nails 💓
I'm sorry toddlers don't have melt downs they throw temper tantrums. Please please don't gentle parent it turns into future discipline issues and respect issues..love your videos.
Gentle parenting is authoritative parenting as apposed to authoritarian. What you're thinking of is permissive parenting. The authoritarian deals in control, shame, anger and force, the permissive parent makes no attempt to correct or change harmful behaviors. Gentle parenting is authoritative parenting, recognizing that the parent is a guiding authority in the child's life, but also knowing that yelling/physical/emotional punishment isn't always the most effective way to change behavior
Do you think that’s dandruff in his hair like that? Or she puts a type of powder in his hair to make the flakes? All the vids he has a lot of white flakes lol.
you need topic that's going to last long? talk about food! people love food, especially those who would love to try other culture's cuisine but can't travel. that describe the nicer places that you've been at. people are out there living as icicles and could probably use a relaxing description of some place warm. 😂
its funny how differently people react to asmr. Some people love the whispering, but to me, its like nails on a chalkboard, too loud, sends horrible shivers of disgust down my spine. same with any kind of mouth noises and breathing noises. but the sound of crunching or clacking or scratching, or videos like dogs grooming etc are all delicious to me haha
@@JessicaIgwe-lt7yv its the youtube comment section. I have the right to an opinion, and what I said wasn't even rude. I love some of her other videos. I just dont particularly like the whispering. In fact i quite hate the whispering. I opened this new video, heard the whispering, got annoyed, found it funny that I got annoyed for something so silly, then thought about it for a second and left my comment. For some reason YOU'RE the one that's butt hurt about it
You guys are great parents, but I disagree that it’s the parents fault if a child acts out. Kids will be kids sometimes….even if you’re loving and supportive…

Usually our parents do not know our deepest desires, that we are born with. But we do not know how to explain at that age.
An early Xmas present to watch ❤

Babies can see and hear the spirits, and some of the spirits are not very nice. You are being very good and loving to your baby. God bless.
❤❤❤❤❤
Next time she has a fit get to her level or get her to your level and tell her look at you and breathe in breathe out until she calms down
