The fact that the transition between "Best Friends" and "Is there someone else" is the most repeated part in this, is amazing. I thought I was the only one who loved it. "Is there someone else" is my favourite song on the album...
It's Tron, it's a touch of 80s nostalgia, it has futuristic vibes, it's trance, it's house, it's a sound done with excellence. The Weeknd found the next level of his groove. Props to all the producers in curating this sound and to The Weeknd who put his artistic soul into this futuristic funkadelic soundscape.

Absolutely perfection of an album. Full of 80’s vibes with a major hint of Michael Jackson influence. As always in The Weeknd’s music, NO SKIPS. With the help of the charismatic DJ, Jim Carrey, this album has it all. Personally, this album was at the right time for me. Less than Zero hit me in my heart. Dawn FM is that little light you see in the distance. And how do we not talk about the beauty in his transitions from song to song, with the use of Jim and beautiful synths. 10 out of 10 for me.

I don't know how to write fan mail. And never have I wanted to write fan mail before. Abel if you ever read this (which I doubt) but I owe you my life. I listen to Dawn FM every single day and every night before I go to bed I start with A tale by Quincey and keep it moving. I believe Dawn Fm dropped in January last year. The following month my mother died unexpectedly and I lost my house and eventually I felt like I was losing my mind. My daughter was just a few months old and Id carry her and sing Is there someone else everyday together. She loves it now lol. After a while I developed Psychosis and was hallucinating. Dawn FM at that point was the only thing that kept me grounded. I eventually attempted suicide in September and again Dawn FM has been the only comfort for me lately. I just wanted to say Thank you Abel I empathize with your past and this album hits me everyday to my core. Phantom regret by Jim completely tears me down. This album is pure art I hope the universe blesses you with continued prosperity and a long life.
Hey king, in my opinion, a human being has to find a purpose to live except for the animals who can survive for reproduction, I suggest you to look up different schools of philosophies, your hobbies, making your daughter's life better. You’ve been going so hard bro. Videos for so many songs on the album, the whole album it’s self is so dope, been listening to this nonstop, or reaction vids of it since it came out. So proud of where you’ve gotten to. I was put onto you in 2015 when I was in high school, I was the “dishwasher” in the back of house at Panera Bread and wanted to see what other people were into for music so I took suggestions for what to play on my playlist back there and a couple of my favorites suggested to play Beauty Behind The Madness and I’ve been hooked ever since, going back to the old music, and loving the new music every release. I think it's really amazing, how much this album is more a listening experience than just a line-up of great songs. You can fairly, and easily say that "Starboy" has more hits, but I highly appreciate how this album sets you into a unique mood and you can't stop listening until you've reached that blissful embrace of feeling free.
This man is the only artist I’ve been obsessed with for years in my musical journey. There’s honestly no one else like him doing what he does. Purely for the love of music and story telling. No one is touching this level of creative thinking today. Not even the top “pop” stars. This album probably isn’t even his best yet. I have this underlying feeling the next one is gonna be more mind blowing and addictive. He’s got such a formula down and I bet he knows it but also doesn’t hence the fact he experiments. The entire album was incredible. Amazing theming and messaging. Songs went from dark to brighter as he ascended into the light (died). Jim Carey’s narration was perfect and tied everything up nicely. Transitions were also 10/10.

No he arleady died in after hours. He said in an interview that he imagines the purgatory like a busy road, where the people drive toward the light (After life, his next album) and in their car there is a Radio station who guides them (Dawn FM). This is a trilogy, he died in After Hours, now he's in purgatory (Dawn FM) and then there is the AfterLife.

I'm not sure if everything is thoroughly planned months and months before, or his team got so good they spontaneously create something as captivating and cinematographically alluring as this. Like Jim says at the end " heavens for those who let go of regret and you have to wait here when you're not all there yet. But you could be by the end of this song" And "you have to be heaven to see heaven" After years of addiction, bad habits and depression and I think I'm finally starting to tune out of dawn fm. The Weeknd is definitely one of the most creative, fascinating artists of the last 10 years or so. I love how he takes 1980s R&B, pop and new wave and puts his own spin on those genres. Watching this, I'd love to turn the clock back 25 years and be in this "club" dancing along with the crowd!

The transitions though... the transitions. I've been listening to this entire album nonstop in the car, and it gets better upon every listen. It needs to be enjoyed as an entire experience, like "Lovesexy" by Prince. Dawn FM was there for me when no one was. I was going through a difficult breakup AND writing my dissertation simultaneously. I would listen to this album day and night, in the library, in bed, on the train... it really is no exaggeration that Dawn FM might have saved my life.
Listening to this on Twitch was mind-blowing. I can't even imagine how insane this will be live. DawnFM isnt meant to be listened to on your own. The Weeknd's take on ascending to heaven is very much a communal experience. I can't wait to buy a ticket to the concert

I've listened to The Weeknd since House of Balloons and Dawn FM is my favorite Weeknd album. As much love as it got I still think it's underrated. I think in time more people will come around on this album. This album got me high; sitting in my room alone at night when it came out with just my neon mood lights closing my eyes laying back just escaping into the music was absolute bliss. I've had it on heavy repeat in my rotation and it's currently my top album of 2022 and it dropped so early in the year but I will be blown away if anything tops this for me personally. I know there's a lot of people who love this album and feel how I do about it yet the charts and the blogs try to make people feel like it wasn't that good or like it was weak just bc early sales expectations. I wonder which albums that come out in 2022 will still be heavy in the mix even just 5 years let alone a decade from now. As cliché as it is I think Abel's music will be played for generations to come in the way that Michael Jackson has continued to resonate through his music so long after his passing. I'm gonna stop my rant here bc this is too long for TH-cam standard comments.
The single tear and the credits that read "Abel Tesfaye as 'The Weeknd' really touched me so much. This is certainly his passion project, as well as a testimony and reckoning with his own human experience. There's still so much time to find that divine bugaloo for all of us. Abel is living large parts of his purpose on this Earth, I hope he's proud of himself and gentle with himself through it all. None of us ever find 100% of our purpose. Can't agree more. No artist has ever come close to building a concept album that's tied to a storyline and theme like how Abel did with Dawn FM. It's a continuous and relaxing flow from start to finish.

Been listening to this album for almost a month now and I can say that this is one of the best albums I've ever heard in early 2022. It's a no-skip album for me. I would totally recommend this album to everyone. Music is timeless~

I don't know how to write fan mail. And never have I wanted to write fan mail before. Abel if you ever read this (which I doubt) but I owe you my life. I listen to Dawn FM every single day and every night before I go to bed I start with A tale by Quincey and keep it moving. I believe Dawn Fm dropped in January last year. The following month my mother died unexpectedly and I lost my house and eventually I felt like I was losing my mind. My daughter was just a few months old and Id carry her and sing Is there someone else everyday together. She loves it now lol.
After a while I developed Psychosis and was hallucinating. Dawn FM at that point was the only thing that kept me grounded. I eventually attempted suicide in September and again Dawn FM has been the only comfort for me lately. I just wanted to say Thank you Abel I empathize with your past and this album hits me everyday to my core. Phantom regret by Jim completely tears me down. This album is pure art I hope the universe blesses you with continued prosperity and a long life.
Hey king, in my opinion, a human being has to find a purpose to live except for the animals who can survive for reproduction, I suggest you to look up different schools of philosophies, your hobbies, making your daughter's life better. Just keep going and I'm sure you'll find a purpose/hope that will keep you going. I think it's really amazing, how much this album is more a listening experience than just a line-up of great songs. You can fairly, and easily say that "Starboy" has more hits, but I highly appreciate how this album sets you into a unique mood and you can't stop listening until you've reached that blissful embrace of feeling free.

This man is the only artist I’ve been obsessed with for years in my musical journey. There’s honestly no one else like him doing what he does. Purely for the love of music and story telling. No one is touching this level of creative thinking today. Not even the top “pop” stars. This album probably isn’t even his best yet. The entire album was incredible. Amazing theming and messaging. Songs went from dark to brighter as he ascended into the light (died). Jim Carey’s narration was perfect and tied everything up nicely. Transitions were also 10/10.

Right! It's taken dozens of listens before I started to understand... It's like this album is a well thought out and sincere... Story about existing in a purgatory of bad habits and trauma. Like Jim says at the end " heavens for those who let go of regret and you have to wait here when you're not all there yet. But you could be by the end of this song"

Dawn FM was there for me when no one was. I was going through a difficult breakup AND writing my dissertation simultaneously. I would listen to this album day and night, in the library, in bed, on the train... it really is no exaggeration that Dawn FM might have saved my life.

Okay, lemme just say this real quick: the producer is a genius. You can’t just listen to one song. It’s damn near impossible! The transitions are too euphoric and it’s like the entire album is one long song. . . I love you Abel, I’ll never change the station! Looks like I’ll be in purgatory a while
I've listened to The Weeknd since House of Balloons and Dawn FM is my favorite Weeknd album. As much love as it got I still think it's underrated. I think in time more people will come around on this album. This album got me high; sitting in my room alone at night when it came out with just my neon mood lights closing my eyes laying back just escaping into the music was absolute bliss. I've had it on heavy repeat in my rotation and it's currently my top album of 2022 and it dropped so early in the year but I will be blown away if anything tops this for me personally. I know there's a lot of people who love this album and feel how I do about it yet the charts and the blogs try to make people feel like it wasn't that good or like it was weak just bc early sales expectations. I wonder which albums that come out in 2022 will still be heavy in the mix even just 5 years let alone a decade from now.
As cliché as it is I think Abel's music will be played for generations to come in the way that Michael Jackson has continued to resonate through his music so long after his passing. I'm gonna stop my rant here bc this is too long for TH-cam standard comments.

The single tear and the credits that read "Abel Tesfaye as 'The Weeknd' really touched me so much. This is certainly his passion project, as well as a testimony and reckoning with his own human experience. There's still so much time to find that divine bugaloo for all of us. Can't agree more. No artist has ever come close to building a concept album that's tied to a storyline and theme like how Abel did with Dawn FM. It's a continuous and relaxing flow from start to finish.
