I feel like this video shows how much inking does. The pencils look so much like their artists. The after inks I thi k the inked works look more in the style of the inkers. Exept the faces the faces still look more like the pencils.
Joe should do a Spawn miniseries. Todd is Joe’s biggest influence and Todd recently talked about artists bringing their own take on the character as to something he wants. I think that Joe would bring something uniquely cool to the character.
Good call that’s a great idea. I agree that could be super cool although I’d add the suggestion that the best results might come from Joe being allowed to take design liberties with Spawn if he wanted to. Shame the rights to Angela were lost because I think Benitez would do great things with her look. Maybe it would be cool since you mentioned a miniseries, a unique Hellspawn story created by Joe to see where he would go design-wise with the general group of Spawn aesthetic components could be amazing. Maybe a future Spawn with sci-fi and mechanized design elements, or some Victorian London or old world Italy Spawn- Spawn in Vatican City?! Lol but seriously anything like that would be super fresh and play to many of his unique skills.
I’m pissed off on Joe’s behalf that Wraithborn wasn’t a giant hit, I thought it was fantastic and some of his most consistently great work page to page. Fantastic pacing and energy to the fight scenes, cool and fun designs,
Hey Dave if you happen to be looking for video tutorial ideas how about one explaining how to draw oversized anatomy, like the hulk or Pitt I found only one video and it’s like 6 years old, thank you in advance 🥸👍💕 specifically I have Qs about the relative proportions of the body specially the torso the waist the hands and the head, in the book How To Draw Comics The Marvel Way it explains that the proportions is like 4 or 5 heads high but for some reason it ends up looking like an oversized baby or a bulky midget for me I’m getting something wrong 😂
