You’ve produced a fine documentary about your hike on the Canary Islands. For me who has never been there I get real good sense of it’s natural beauty, it’s diverse topography and flora. As a viewer I sense having experienced being there. You have interestingly put together, images, narration, music. Seeing its entity through your perception at all times of day and night is fully enjoyable. Thank you free bird…I hope your house was in good shape upon your return and that the coming new year unfolds exactly as you wish.
You must have doubled your kilometers walked by getting to a point to set up the camera, walking back down then up again to get the camera. Thank you so much for the extra effort and energy that you expended to take us on your journey! I loved it!
I forgot that you had to walk down to get the camera after walking out of the view of the camera. I hope that all was well when you got back to the house.😊
Yes. Just as I guessed, your video was well worth waiting for! It is gorgeous. With all of the filming you did, each time we saw you walk away into the distance, I know you had to turn around and retrace your steps to retrieve your camera. You walked large parts of those trails twice! Doing that certainly means you might not go as far each day as you had planned. Thank you very much for taking the time and effort to film your long hike this way. It is a joy to watch. "I'm not here to be fast. I'm here to be free." Wise words for the trail and for all of life. And you have left us with a cliff hanger!!! 🙃
Because you are an artist, everything you do is overlaid with that touch of beauty. To walk that 9 days (not to mention the 17km walk back to your home .. in the snow) plus to film at the same time something incredibly fabulous, is some feat. I felt my heart heal. It turns out one can live (and heal) vicariously. Happy New Year Rosie. What a wonderful year it will be for those of us who have found your channel. 🌻
This is an absolutely awesome video. I was already a subscribed fan of your cabin renovations but after seeing this video, I am a super fan. Watching a capable, young woman hike and backpack 9 days alone brought back so many wonderful memories of my own hiking and backpacking days and the awesome sights one can only see if one walks to them. You did a fantastic job both on the hike and in filming it. What I love most is that I can see you truly love nature and being outdoors. It is a beautiful thing to watch. Over a 25 yr span, I have hiked and backpacked a good portion of the southeastern United States (Appalachian Trail area) some of the western United States (Rocky Mountains area) as well as in Peru (Andes Mtns). But, Multiple Sclerosis and old age (I'm almost 70) has now rendered me physically unable to hike anymore. MS has disabled me to where I can barely stand upright or walk. But I have fought MS for 36 yrs and hiked and walked hundreds (maybe thousands) of miles when MS didn't bring me down and have seen some astonishing sights and terrain and for that, I will always be grateful. So, keep roaming and filming Wild Rosie. I am grateful for you.
Best thing on TH-cam is you get to see things like this , I would never do something like this, but I’m happy to see that someone else is and I could joy your trip. So thank you for the experience and have a happy new year.🎉❤
Rosie, I never comment on videos. But this was extraordinary. Beautiful landscape... Have you ever been so brave? I really admire that! And I love to see I'm not the only one who prefers being alone and avoiding people.
Haha, I don't know... I guess if I really wanted something, I've always found a way to go for it. Not sure if that's brave, it just seems natural to me :)
I’m disabled & not able too see these beautiful trails, but you have enabled me too enjoy them too! Your filming has improved so much, it’s an absolute pleasure too watch them 👍👍U.K.
Those views! Thanks for your lovely channel, I have been watching it for a week now and I love everything you do! Your determination astounds me and gives me pause - makes me want to do more and be more independent too. I used to be, once upon a time, when I was younger and seem to have lost that along the way.
I took much of the same trail with my 10 month old daughter strapped to my back. We just watched this video together 7 years later! My favorite hike was the Masca Gorge descent, but it is brutal the next day when the soreness of the legs hits you, known now as Masca Legs.
I remember being that brave when I was younger, to go and camp wherever, At 65 I Am Not that Brave today. I Like high Mountain Desert too. I Bet you would Love the Beauty of Arizona and Colorado and New Mexico, and Utah. This place you are at is Devoid of Any animals
You have such a good cinematographic eye. And good editing instincts. It's what makes your video standout amongst the plethora of Swedish cabin renovation videos.
The surest path to wisdom is to allow oneself the freedom of freedom. "I am not here to be fast, I am here to be free." - Roaming Wild Rosie. Wisdom personified....
Yo Rosie you’re so super patient. It would drive me nuts going back and forth for my camera but you seem to do it so well. This is such a cool place and a well deserved change of scenery. Happy 2023
I had been waiting for your new video for the past 3 weeks, wondering if you'd been frozen in. It was surprising to see you had got away, and taken a walking trip, all on your own again. You are so brave ! I hope you enjoyed the change. Have a Happy New Year ! 🎄🌲 I hope the pipes weren't too bad on your return. 💚💛🧡
I moved to the Island of Hawaii where the 30M telescope is planned but may end up in the Canary Islands. The aspects are different but mostly similar. Amazing hike!😎
Hello beautiful Rosie. I was wondering when you made the video. It seems warmer. Rosie always take Jesus with you. It’s in places like nature that Jesus presence becomes so strong. Love you sweetheart.
This trail looks much better for you to walk and hike than the other one I envy your courage and the way you courageously go through each day to get to your next place of interest 👍
Rosie, thankyou for sharing that spectacular hike. I was blown away by the beautifully scenery from woodland to barren and such diversity in between. We are all free birds if we just spread our wings. Loved every minute of that journey. 💚
What a beautiful hike. The content I watch most from February to October is hiking the Appalachian Trail. Thank you for opening my world to a much broader picture of what is out there. Your video was amazing. I love trails less traveled! ✌️🙂💚
Oh my goodness, when I was your age,I would never of done this kind of trip. You surprise me!! Such a brave soul you are! It looks like you walked to the edge of the earth.
I don't know who your videotographer is but they are to be congratulated. Thank you for sharing your trip ... the variety of topography was stunning. Cheers from Australia 🐨 🐾
Dear Rosie, thank you for making all your videos! You are the inspiration. Can you make a video on all the clothes and equipment that you took for this trip? Best wishes! 🙌
Wow Rosie! I kept checking waiting for the next video! What an adventure you've had! It was surely worth the wait for us viewers! Thanks for taking us along! We're probably the ones who slowed you down on the trails! Choosing Joy ~ stephanie 😉
I'm too old to do it now but when I was a bit younger I've done that myself wandering if I were the only one doing that. It's not easy. But when you're young you just don't think about it.
You are an adventurous woman, solving challenges in forest , searching for a home in Sweden or remodeling. Brava! I predict an excellent future for you wherever you are.
You are a fascinating young woman! 💃🏻 Glad you were able to get away. Can’t wait for the next video and new updates to your cabin! Happy New Year!! ❤️🥳❤️
I really enjoy your videos! There’s always something new, whether it’s building or some kind of travel….I loved this one as well, so much variety in the landscape!! I am amazed. Looking forward to your next installment 😁
Oh, I hiked there too, and it was wonderful!! So lovely to see it all in such a beautiful way that you present it. My overall experience on this wonderful, fierce island was 10/10, absolutely one of my best places I've ever been to! I'm so grateful that I was able to go and appreciate the gorgeous nature of this island (in all senses of the word).
Happy new year from a fellow introvert, amazing sceneries! I wish I had your drive though, I´m far too lazy to undertake something like this. I´d be in one of the hotels moaning about how much effing people there were everywhere. Have an amazing 2023 and hope your water system made it.

What a wonderful video to start the year with ! Truly MAJESTIC landscapes and so beautifully filmed. You are courageous to go on a long hike all alone but in return you are offered the freedom and this magical connection with all nature surrounding you. I wonder what the raven intended to tell you, they are highly intelligent birds, legends say they are wise. Free like a bird, yes, thank you for sharing this fantastic trip with us. You should try to work for the BBC, National Geography or whatever. I wish you a very Happy New Year 2023 ❤
What an amazing landscape! It looks like an alien planet. I love the plants and cacti you filmed. The raven was interesting, He was probably looking for snacks. I hope your house was ok when you got home! Very enjoyable video as always. Thanks Rosie and happy new year!🥰
I’ll say this much for you young lady you have got guts to go out there alone just for the climb, but I do know you need a break from your cabin in the woods, it’s wide open spaces and a hike that may just tire you that little bit more, but saying that enjoy your time there 👍
I could see your happiness and excitement during your walks. It seems that you are born for that. I'm so happy for you that you got to do such an adventure your way.
Only 12 minutes in and I have to say you've gotten so many beautiful shots. You've perfectly captured that feeling of pure isolation while being immersed in nature. What a beautiful and magical place! This video is so relaxing. Amazing job filming and editing. 🥰
Rosie, So glad you had the opportunity to go somewhere new and enjoy such stunning landscapes. Walking (hiking) is so good for the brain and the body. Thank you for sharing these beautiful images. God bless! 😊
What an incredible journey! So rejuvenating and renewing. And the scenery was stunning. I love forests the most. Happy New Year Rosie, may the year be filled with magical wonder!
Thank you Rosie for sharing your adventure. You always inspire me to - you are such a strong woman and I love that you always fine the beauty and positivity in everything. May 2023 be a wonderful year for you X
Hey...I know that raven. Its a rascal! It´s stolen my chips many times. You did the right call turning west and not following the GR 131 which after that point is not so interesting as the route you did. Great film. Saludos.
This is a work of art i felt like i was hiking with you :) So relaxing and it shows your personality and realistic side of you and your hiking journey. I think you did a outstanding job with editing and sharing your journey. Love your channel you make a big impact on my life with your simplicity its just so heart touching and positive thank you for being a part of this community :) Hope you stay!
You are so brave. This day and age you do not know what is out there. You had beautiful scenery, thank you for sharing your adventure. Hope things were not too bad at home. Happy New Year.
No scary animals in the Canary Islands :) But if there were, I'd make sure to know what to do if I did encounter them so I was prepared! Luckily in most places, wild animal will run away from people when they see us
I have been waiting for your video. So glad for you that you were able to get away. The video is beautiful. So many fantastic places you went to visit. Hopefully your home will be fine and no water problems.
I think we all need a little solitude from time to time so we can clear our thoughts and feel relieved from others being there with us even I love being alone from time to time
What a beautifully filmed and edited video of your adventure which was just stunning. All that extra vitamin D will hopefully see you through the Winter! I’m eagerly awaiting your next video to see if all was well when you got home. Happy New Year to you, I hope 2023 brings you all you want to achieve. 🙂
Brilliant. A perfect getaway. Walking at your pase at 3.000m, could explain why you don't come a far per day. The mountain rule is usually the slower gets further. Add to that: you have to walk it all 3 times, set up the camera, record, go back and forth again, just to bring us along. It was so nice to be with you there. You have a good eye for the spectacular viewpoints. A good cliffhanger about the Hause, However from what I saw in the Waterhouse wideo, I expect all to be fine.
Rosie, thank you so much for this incredible visual treasure. At one point in the video, when you were standing overlooking the sea, I was thinking how different your memories of Tenerife would be from those others vacationing at sea level.
That was a wonderful video, thank you. On many occasions you must have walked three times the distance to film it for us. Again , thank you. Happy New Year. I hope 2023 is a good year for you.
I can't imagine how many times you had to stop to set up the camera, but it was so beautiful to go on this hike 'with' you! I remember walking the Coast to Coast in England, and the days I got dangerously lost, how poorly the path was marked in places, the changes to schedule. You did so well and are brave. Welcome home!
Shorts and ankle socks must be a good switch from wearing thick woollen garments and "raggsockor". A solidly good way to clear the head and make the muscles work (in a different way from the usual).
What an adventure, you're a brave girl to venture out, leaving your house in the cold, sleeping out and about. Curious as to what you took to eat for the time you were gone. With carrying a tent, some gear, doesn't leave much room for food. Looking forward to next weeks video and praying your house, pipes, etc. are all good.
This trip really touched my soul. What a beautiful experience. Thank you for taking us along. I hope everything was ok upon your arrival home. Happy New year Rosie!!❤️

What an extraordinary journey. When you reached the lighthouse...it was such a moving scene. Thank you. ❤

You’ve inspired me to do more of this. Get on a short flight and go for a long hike over a long weekend ❤
I love how minimalist and confident you are
So agree. I have to remind myself that it's actually really quite easy to do this within Europe... and it doesn't have to cost much at all!
You are simply amazing, and so brave to hike that trail alone😃

As someone who is also an expat in Sweden, I must say, getting away from the darkness to this location was probably such a relief!
Haha I actually do not mind the darkness, but getting away from everything was really the right thing to do :)
I'm on hard time but when i watching your new journey, like you trying to tell me 2023 will be okay, thank u rosie 🖤

I appreciate all the returns you would of had to do to relocate your camera. Thank you.
Shorts and ankle socks must be a good switch from wearing thick woollen garments and "raggsockor". A solidly good way to clear the head and make the muscles work (in a different way from the usual).
Haha raggsockor! But yes, was great to get away from the thick socks for a little while :)
It's a long but beautiful walk but the Appalachian Trial in the US is beautiful.
