Great video and fantastic job on the cleanup. So cool your grandson helped. I’m sure the new owner (assume he’s getting them back) will cherish them and the memory for a long time. Thanks for sharing.

Nice work Mr Bill! They look great. I always love the before and after photos. Your apprentice has a good eye for rusty tools and he seems to enjoy helping in the shop.

Hi Fred! Both of the guys (son and grandson) like working with tools so I think my grandson will enjoy owning those pliers. I sure appreciate you being here and commenting! Regards, Bill.

A great looking set of pliers mate. I have a weakness for shiny tools and yours is done perfectly for a user tool. Not over the top so you don’t want to use it. It’s done just right where a quick buff will bring it back to restored condition if it’s been hard used.
I love that you are passing on your knowledge to the younger generation. I am doing the same at present with one of my granddaughters who is interested in what I do.
    Take care mate. Nice work.

Those came up Fantastic Mr. Bill ! He did a really good job and it was cool hearing his reaction to seeing it working during the wire wheeling...that feeling never gets old. It was nice of him to let you take over. . I might be a bit jealous of them since it's a pair I don't have. Very enjoyable video. Tell your grandson he did Awesome !

Thanks George! He learns fast! Too bad the maker's mark didn't survive, but it was too far gone to save.

Look at those pliers shine! I enjoyed the cameo from your protégé, I am glad to see there will be a next generation of rusty tool aficionados. The look through the microscope was very cool. Great cleanup and I hope the new owner enjoys them!

Hey Bill. My grandson returns in July from 3 years overseas. (Son took after me and is active duty). I cant wait to get him in the shop for some tool time! I'm a whittler by nature so his first carving knife is on the horizon. (He will be 9 by then). I bet your grandson will never forget the story of his first linemans. Maybe one day he will be a sparky!?! Great video and thanks!

Hello again hiker! I used to whittle a lot when I was a youngster. Even made the little ball in cage thing once. It's a great hobby. Best to you, Bill.

Nice cleanup Bill. I tried getting my two grandsons interested in tool restoration and they tried it once with me but that was about it.

Hi Frank! Well, kids of that age bounce around in their interests a lot. For that matter so do old guys like me ! 😁Glad to hear from you again, Bill.
