Great cold start. The trick is to just keep cranking and pumping until she fires. Love to see that this one has survived the ages. Keep the cold starts coming. GO PATS! (saw the floor mat)
Thank you! I'm moving in a month so I had to fire him up & drive him around a bit to get the old juices flowing. When I get to my new garage I'll post more for sure!
I'll shoot another video explaining what all is going on with the car and what's odd about it. It needs $ to be glorious but it's a great start. One thing I will say is that I did Not do the primer/black paint work to it. I bought it looking like this. I think it'd look neat a Creme White myself
I have a 84 Buick regal limited. I'm trying to get it going again when I start up it struggles a little. When it does finally start its real shaky have to Rev up the engine to get it going. But after it warms up it starts right up. I changed the mechanical fuel pump already too. Kinda seems worse now trying to start. Any solutions please
I'm pretty sure the mid 80's Regals used a 305 Chevy for the V8 option....of course, Olds made a 307 in those days. Buick stopped V8 production in 1980...however, the car is a Buick. Are you saying it has the Olds mill, or did you misprint the Chevy's displacement?
My information is correct. It is a 307. Montes used the 305. If you google 86 Buick Regal 307 V8 you will see that it in fact is a Olds 307 engine, but was factory built that way for this model of buick. So you are for the most part correct, but I have a stock 307 V8 on this Buick Regal that was factory installed with an Olds 307 engine.
@@MrChad676 Excellent. Thanks for the clarification, however, Regal's were equipped with the 305 as well. A friend had one and it was factory stock, although I believe it was a couple of years older than yours. So either there was a change made between your car and my friend's, or both engines were available and your just happened to get the Olds motor. Either way, nice car.
@@DeanMk1 They had about 5,000 different set ups for these beautiful beasts. After I googled it again I did in fact see the 305 as an option as well. I appreciate the back and forth Information & you checking it out!
That is a sexy car I have a 1987 Buick Regal limited 307 I’m still working on it looks good
Thank you! Good luck with the work. I'm sure it'll turn out perfect
