I did 2 sessions and it didn’t really work for me I couldn’t get myself to speak to someone I didn’t know or who didn’t know me well to understand

Great couple. Hats off Zach on owning/accepting your depression and working on it to be the man you are today. Summer, you are an absolute legend in staying with him..what people don't understand is that a strong and loving partner is the greatest gift you can provide to your significant other.

Bro, The Mental Health part struck me quite hard. I also felt the same during this pandemic and even now, as I don't have a close friend or someone like that. Seems like I am also into this depression and may explain why I am not that productive enough. It made me mentally so unstable. From Outside my Parents and other friends both in IRL and on Social Media, think I am kinda happy and "normal" from Outside. But from Inside I just felt left out. It's been the thing since childhood, and maybe because I normalized it in my life which made me quite self-centered and a reserved person which maybe the reason why people don't want to spend more time with me. They think I am Okay with it, but in reality I am not. And it hurts when you are left out. Just don't know, it's a complex mix of anger, sadness, frustration.
Anyways, your story is pretty inspiring.
Yes it’s the feeling that no one understands how I feel, is the trap. From my experience it’s best to speak about how you feel. If you are honest about how you feel with yourself and others, that’s when change will happen. Depression creates this illusion that you are not loved by anyone and that you are alone, but love starts with loving yourself first and once you truly start looking at yourself in the mirror with love that’s when you realize that you can be alone and be just as happy. Only you can make your life better. Hope this advise helps you 🙂
