- Last year, I presented for ITV's 65th Anniversary the largest and most then-up-to-date collection of ITV franchise Idents on TH-cam. This Christmas holiday, I now present the other side of ITV's famous names and faces. After painstaking collection, here are (almost) all of the production endcaps seen at the close of countless programmes which defined British television for generations. Special thanks to TR3X Productions, JontyMaster, RichYong, HorizonPoint, and ZMB's Worldwide Logo Archive for providing most of the original captures! Sit back, enjoy the video, and let the nostalgia do its magic. Oh, and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

From the late 80’s and through the 90’s the various ITV companies used endcaps stating: Presentation; programme; production. TVS made these 3 distinctions, and on viewing this video, I see that pretty much all the other main ITV regions used the same - particularly LWT, and Carlton (from 1993).
Can someone explain the difference, particularly the latter two. Presumably ‘presentation’ is a programme produced and provided entirely by an independent production company, but presented to the network by the relevant regional company (possibly because of slot allowances ). Is a ‘programme’ something which has been commissioned and closely produced with the relevant regional company, perhaps in association with another production company or a licensed format, which may gameshows would fall under. A ‘production’ would therefore be entirely owned (format wise) and produced in house by the regional company? If anyone could clarify?
