Man, your videos always explain the things/details I don't find elsewhere. Very informative s**t! Give us more! Thank you.

Thanks. I’ve always wondered the difference.

But with alot of home audio drivers your sensitivity is much higher so it takes alot less power to get loud. hands down home audio drivers have been by far louder than your average coaxial speakers

@@CarAudioEnthusiasts You make it look easy. I was catching up watching your latest amplifier video, went down the D’Amore Egineering lineup, amp dynos etc. Made in USA

I love home audio , but I love car audio even more , because of all the stuff you can do to get crazy power out of your system ,especially when you can wire your subs or front and rear speakers in series or parallel , so you can run them in a lower ohm rating . Great video thanks!!!

In home audio the higher impedance generally means an easier driver to power. High voltage less current. In car audio with less voltage but high current we can drive lower impedance speakers. But a lot comes down to amplifier quality and gain settings. Amps tend to be a lot happier with higher impedance loads.

I've really been enjoying your content since I stumbled across your channel a month ago. Thank you for all the time and effort that goes into making videos. Please keep it up as long as you feel good enough to do so!

Great vid, I always wondered what a car audio system at 8 ohms would sound like combined with a sub at 4 ohm. But pretty much all car audio amps never show that, but even with that much resistance I'm sure it'll still sound great. Based off my 5.1 home theater and 4.1 car, I really can't pick, music, movies or streaming. You never hear of people running 8 ohms in a vehicle, but so common in home theater.

I have a set of PSD316 from MB Quart you can configure them in a parallel, with the crossover , and then on the cross over you can jump the pin to bi wire , so you can get more power out of an amp to drive them , the theaters are insane 😂😂😂

In general I prefer working with car audio drivers, they are built better, have bigger motors and are a lot easier to tune than a who knows what its made for parts express style drivers.

Hello Sir, I found this video to be very helpful.I am looking to start installing installation matting in the rear doors. I'm not sure weather to go with the Alpine 6.5 component system or just the 6.5's in the stock hole. What do you suggest?
What gain will i get having the tweeter higher in the door?

I will be installing the Alpine 6.5 component system in the front doors an in the stock tweeter hole location.

tweeters up high, lift the sound stage, but for the rear coaxials are fine. personally i like my highs, so i like coaxials AND separate tweeters up high

      @user-jn2kt3tr9r หลายเดือนก่อน

so you would drilll a hole for the rear tweeters. So the gain is worth the work?

@@user-jn2kt3tr9r i would'nt be using rear speakers at all, but if youre going to have rear speaker, just use co-axial speakers.

    Price.
Home audio drivers tend to be lower price when compared to car audio.
I know Morel has taken some drivers and changed the marketing to be for car audio and increased the price. Maybe there are more middle men, or larger marketing budgets, not sure. Probably just greed.

OK can anyone explain why SQ systems are always 4 ohms or even 8 sometimes. I'm not able to figure out why a lower impedance has more noise and THD. I would think lower ohm loads equal mo powa baby since the majority of car audio amps have unregulated power supplies. And with more power you should get a louder, cleaner and clearer sound from your speakers.

Can I get sq with coaxials
