Reminds me of the scramble tracks in the 60s.

Wow ! What a great assortment of rear world choppers. Only a few unfortunate cases of the Hipster 16 inch risers with tiny little handlebars - even ape hangers were few & far between.
The antiques and vintage were well represented from original paint to full restorations.
A very nice flat track but mini bike racing is just a fad that I don't have time for

I have never seen a Panhead like the one @5.51 before - split rocker covers on a Pan..... I seen Shovels like it and I think maybe a Knuckle, but never a Pan !

Where I grew up in the 1970's most where Harleys, as was mine. There were also many Honda 750s (that no one wanted to race) and and even a few Honda 350s. People chopped what they had. I was always looking for a Triumph to Chop but the company was dying and engine parts were an issue even with one of the last dealers around in town.... a Triumph, Norton, Thurston dealer in the 1970s was not the recipe for success. Most of the Triumphs ended up as hill climbers...Bike's life cycle is short as a hill climber. It seemed like most of the Harleys were AMC vintage Shovel heads. The quality from the factory was poor so there were a lot of used, broken bikes around to work with. Just my perception of the time and place. I always wanted to try riding a Thurston cross country.

A lot of diversity there.....Apart from the fact that they're nearly all HD's. Actually it's getting to be like that at my local meet now. Lot's of old men on Harleys.

I still admire the creativity , however after riding these things for 50 years the reliability is not that good. Now I just want comfort and reliability above anything else. The attention is way down on the list.
