I'm not from your area but listening to Bramblett on Sirius, and listening to this call, I really appreciated Rod. I was truly saddened to hear when he and his wife were killed.
It took me about 2 years to adjust to Rod after Jim Fife passed away. I now find myself having to do it all over again. Rod loved AU and AU loved him. War Eagle forever to Rod and Paula.
I am a lifelong Bama fan, but man am I gonna miss Rod. His passion for the game was unmatched. The family of Rod and Paula as well as the Auburn nation continue to be in my thoughts and prayers. May God comfort you all.
Mr. Bramblett was one of the greatest radio CFB announcers in modern history. He brought joy to millions, regardless of your team or conference. His Kick Six call will be in my memory forever. My condolences to his family and to Auburn nation, from an Iowa fan.
His call of the 109 yard return of the missed Alabama field goal is a great example of enthusiasm and information. While expressing his excitement, Rod told the listeners what happened on that play. I've heard other announcers go into constant expressions for three to five minutes before ever telling the people what caused such a reaction.
Much more than just Auburn fans. I'm an Iowa fan, but Mr. Bramblett was one of the greatest radio CFB announcers in modern history. He brought joy to millions, regardless of your team or conference. His Kick Six call will be in my memory forever. My condolences to Auburn nation.
R.I.P. The Kick-Six call always hit my soul everytime I hear it. I'm a sports fan and watched the 2013 Iron Bowl live. When they play that home call on tv, I had to rewind it over and over because that was and still is the most passionate call I've ever heard in sportsradio.
I'm a Bama fan, and as painful as it was to watch the kick 6, it will never be the same seeing that play again, knowing that Rod is gone. A little over 16 years to the day of Jim Fife's death too. Prayers for Rod and Paula Bramblett's family. The Iron Bowl rivalry means nothing in times like this. We lost a legend on our side the same night - Bart Starr. Very ironic! Roll Tide and War Eagle!
I listened to the Kick Six play when I heard the news. It brought back so many good memories. Thank you and RIP, Rod. Your Auburn Family will miss you. War Eagle Forever.
And we thought the miracle at Jordan Hare was amazing!! Oh my Lord in heaven!! Lord, you have an angel waiting at the gates to get in!! Rod Bramblett, one of my favorite announcers!!
We still miss you. We always will. And generations of Auburn fans yet unborn will revel in the history of which you are forever a part. You are the voice of that history. Thanks for being there. War Eagle!

This news has completely ruined what was otherwise a wonderful day. Such a heart breaker. Rest easy Rod and wife. Your legacies will forever be cemented down on the Plains. War Eagle.
Arkansas experienced something similar when Paul Eels was killed in a car crash just before the 2006 football season. Prayers sent years later from Razorback nation. The radio voice of your program is such a huge part of the identity of your team
My heart is heavy for my Auburn friends. First Tammy, now Rod and his wife... very sad day. Love and prayers from Aggieland to my SEC family and friends in Auburn. Can anyone tell me if they have kids at home or were their kids all adults?
RIP Rod. AU will not be the same. Give the Big Man up there a big War Eagle.
