@@mysteriousgaming8254 dont worry. The lava and warpers are the only thing u have to worry about really. A lot of people overhype the sea dragon when it can cause the prawn little damage due to how the prawn moves. You can fling ypurseld past the dragons and lizards, but warpers are placed so much that u would likely fling yourself into another one after getting away from one. The lava causes prawn damage but thats about it. The cyclops is a bit of the opposite. Warpers wont really bother you while the dragon and lizard will be attacking your cyclops a lot. Also since it is a sub and the prawn is not the cyclops dosent need to worry about lava. Anyways its really not that bad if you know a lot about the creatures. I would rsther go there than the dunes lol

The first time i played subnautica, the only direction i had was that i needed to go deeper. While exploring i picked up everything i could find and managed to stumble upon all the degasi bases. When i was wanting to go deeper, i already had all the materials to make all depth modules and such without even knowing.
I remember being right by the lava castle in creative mode since I was trying to get a grip of where everything is in the game and the map was pretty unloaded and it took me a while to actually find out what zone it was and get out of there, and I could also hear the Sea Dragon, but I never found him even though I explored pretty much the entirety of the place trying to get out XD
_Another_ fun fact: Some of the pools of lava that lead into a falling trail of lava (I think part of the lava falls) that you are able to swim through, right into the terrain. This needs some explaining. I made a world for collecting eggs, and I made a moonpool and a prawn suit. I put the prawn suit into the moonpool, and when I got back in, the prawn suit fell through the ground and eventually made its way down to the inactive lava zones. I managed to break my prawn suit by getting the Sea Dragon to eat it. I didn't know how to get out of the inactive lava zone, so I thought, "Hey, why don't I try killing myself in the lava? That won't backfire." So I went into a small pool of lava, and I passed straight through it, and I started going through the terrain. I managed to find my way into the cavity where the thermal plant is, and I got in through the moonpool, managed to find some Ion cubes, activated the Master portal there (as far as I know there's only one) and I teleported to the quarantine island... that's as far as I am, so now I have to use my sea glide to get back to my base...
That's definitely a really interesting coincidence :) I suppose they didn't really bother fixing up all the collisions in those pits as most players would probably never go there.

all the lava zone seems to be a geological "hotspot" (which is a little chimney of lava coming up) like under Hawaii, from that theory we know that the walls are made out of materials somewhat like basalt and gabbro but with the difference of the minerals which compose the mantle. But the fact that it didn't move in thousands of years may teach us that the planet is either not geologically active or really slow for the continental drift.

the thermal plant and primary containment facility are home to alien robots. they were built by the precursors for maintenance. they lose interest in Ryley fairly easily and don't seem to attack unless he gets too close; if he scarpers, they don't bother chasing him. they do a whopping three damage with their welding tools.
@@TheLastBacon wonder why they don't appear in the Quarantine Reinforcement Platform? The Disease Research Facility was flooded, so i doubt they'd be able to function there.

Those damn Lava Larvae stealing your power, make sure to get into the habit of pulling the power cells out of the cyclops after parking it before exiting to explore anything lest you return to a dead sub.
Ah the Inactive Lava Zone, I remember I was playing on hardcore difficulty, got to the entrance of the Lava Castle, with no vehicles because I was carrying 2 Ultra High Capacity Tanks and I was using some speedrun glitches in casual play, as I make my way to the thermal plant… The Sea Dragon just clips it’s head THROUGH the walls and insta kills me and that’s my save gone 💀 3 hours of that run just for the Sea Dragon to use a glitch on me, can’t say I didn’t deserve it. The worst part about that is that there is no death animation in Hardcore mode, instead a black screen pops up which says “you died” with the option to return to the Main Menu
If I remember correctly there was a big hole near the Aurora which went straight down to the lava zone but it was removed when they added the lost river I think. Aka the hell hole.
When you approach the entrance of the Active lava zone out of the corridor it would be awesome if you saw the sea dragon fighting the reaper leviathan because it’s said that the skeleton was dragged down but imagine if another one was and you witnessed it happen!

the thermal plant and primary containment facility are home to alien robots. they were built by the precursors for maintenance. they lose interest in Ryley fairly easily and don't seem to attack unless he gets too close; if he scarpers, they don't bother chasing him. they do a whopping three damage with their welding tools.
Yep, the cute little spiders :)
@@TheLastBacon wonder why they don't appear in the Quarantine Reinforcement Platform? The Disease Research Facility was flooded, so i doubt they'd be able to function there.
There is one lore video that must be made...
Crash fish
You have probably already done that but if you haven’t, it is the most scary fish.
I did cover that one already indeed :)
At least it will keep me warm unlike a certain youtubers stream that I was watching lol xD
Well you can always join my stream in a couple minutes :)
@@TheLastBacon oh i do! I love your streams
@@TheLastBacon YOU STREAM? I ONLY WATCH DR WILY STREAMS
I’ve seen way to many subnautica videos to stop from being spoiled about the game so yeah but luckily I still don’t know enough lol
Well hopefully I can teach you more :)
@@TheLastBacon ok but one thing what happened to the wreck of the degasi ive always wondered that also i REALLY NEED help with stuff to get all the required thing to go into the lava zone and by that i mean where to get the parts for the grappler arm drill and jetpack thing like this is the only game i have made a playlist called subnautica tips for everyone and yeah i need help with that lol
Those damn Lava Larvae stealing your power, make sure to get into the habit of pulling the power cells out of the cyclops after parking it before exiting to explore anything lest you return to a dead sub.
Very smart approach! Those things are SO annoying :)
Ah the Inactive Lava Zone, I remember I was playing on hardcore difficulty, got to the entrance of the Lava Castle, with no vehicles because I was carrying 2 Ultra High Capacity Tanks and I was using some speedrun glitches in casual play, as I make my way to the thermal plant…
The Sea Dragon just clips it’s head THROUGH the walls and insta kills me and that’s my save gone 💀 3 hours of that run just for the Sea Dragon to use a glitch on me, can’t say I didn’t deserve it.
The worst part about that is that there is no death animation in Hardcore mode, instead a black screen pops up which says “you died” with the option to return to the Main Menu
Haha oh no - I HATE it when they just randomly pop out in front of you! :)
@@TheLastBacon yeah it’s a good jumpscare but I was more frustrated
If I remember correctly there was a big hole near the Aurora which went straight down to the lava zone but it was removed when they added the lost river I think. Aka the hell hole.
Yep :) thee used to be a shortcut there but it got patched out before release.
Underrated channel :)
you forgot to mention the hellhole a scrapped entrance to inactive lava zone from the crash zone.Very old veresions only
True :) I mentioned it in a different vid!
Me collecting stuff around the auroa:Hey Reaper Leviathan:hey! Me:AHHhHhHhH
Yeah they don't like you doing that :)
Your vids are so informative
Thank you :) glad you like them!
When six bonesharks team up on you: bro it's like I'm back in LA
You picked the wrong coral reef :D
I love those vids u and subnautica
Glad you like them :)
I enjoy ALL of your content, Skyrim videos included!
Thank you very much! :)
When you approach the entrance of the Active lava zone out of the corridor it would be awesome if you saw the sea dragon fighting the reaper leviathan because it’s said that the skeleton was dragged down but imagine if another one was and you witnessed it happen!
That would definitely be an epic fight to behold :) I tried spawning some reapers in but couldn't get them to fight in a cool way.
Thanks for trying it out
The most intense game of hot potato
Very much so :)
I almost peed my pants when I tried going into the lava zone instead and ended up in the void and met a nice little ghost leviathan that wanted to get rid of my cyclops and my praw suit
Yeah going into the void by accident is never fun :)
Lava Larvae be like: all your base are belong to us
Haha yep :) your power is their power!
How long are you gonna do the series?
As long as you guys are enjoying it :)
The Last Bacon *forever
AS LONG AS IM AROUND!!! YAAAAAYYY
Dear The Last Bacon,
I think you could maybe try to improve your audio because I am often watching with earphones and I can hear your breathes on the mic. Thanks! P.S.- luv ur vids keep up the good work
I really don't know what volume you listen on but I don't think I can get better quality with the current equipment - also, you'll inevitably hear some breathing - I am still human :)
you deserve way more subscriebers
Thank you very much! :)
I still remember the time when the sea dragon used the fire breath thing aimed at my prawn suit, but a warped thankfully warped me out in time. The prawn didn't survive, but I did
Dang that warper saved your life :)
@@TheLastBacon He sure did
