@@TheIvmanProject I kinda agree. I love Loz but on the last album and the recent live performances Mat is the main vocalist for me. If you look back to their TNSFN or This is the Six tour you can barely hear Matt and he is just doing some back up screams. But the last 2 albums he (and ecen the other members like Aron and Sean) is so much more prominent. And he has a great voice (imo). I would be sad when Loz quits but I think it's not avoidable. Maybe one more album but that's it. The guy's voice is spent. He mentions it himself more or less in the docu of their latest album. That he's unsure how long he'll be able to do this. And the rest of the band shares that concern. Mat would be a decent lead singer. But my fear is that WSS will disband when Loz is out. Well, they made 5 amazing albums and I've seen them live several times already and had a meet and greet. Hope to catch them a couple of times more before the end.

I Think Loz had vocal cord surgery actually. He used to spit blood and stuff on stage. Still sounds okay to me and they have evolved their sound to A lot more gang vocals and all.

Jeez, Loz's voice has been through a lot over the years and I really feel for the guy, but at times here his vocals are completely botched, especially at the very end of this song.
At about the 2:57 mark it sounds like to me that he actually switches to inhale screams for the rest of the song

I thought this seeing them live last month. For the majority of songs through the set his vocals were completely botched. Luckily he has Matt to back him up

For some reason, Sam from Architects still manages his screams really well.

He needs to get some rest for a better vocal performance. It is obvious that he is tired to scream a lot at gigs. But btw scream vocal is not just screaming a lot. It has a technique and if you are lead vocalist, you have to learn how effective scream vocal is performed. For example, Sam from Architects

I currently have Covid-19, can’t smell, can’t taste, I’m always sweating, hot, headache to the max, my balls hurt, virgin, and I don’t see an end, it’s been 2 weeks already but I just want to be in that mosh pit and take all my agony out and just feel it live like I’m feeling it though my earbuds, but the reality is that I’m getting worse and I’m all alone.

Fried ketchup honestly don’t think live recordings do them any justice.
Saw them a couple years ago after they released their previous album and they were still really tight, and Loz sounded fine.

Sometimes it's just due to the live audio recording not being mixed after and just posted as it is, it's mixed to sound good live, in the actual venue/festival. I saw them in London at the very end of the UK tour and he sounded amazing, I also saw some videos of the rest of the tour, taken from the crowd, so not the audio being taken from the live inteface and it sounded good as well
These guys are meant to play live. Their studio recordings always sound lackluster

Ok is it just me or does the guitar/bass sound kinda weird during the breakdown?
The bass is thumpy as! Sounds to me like the guitars dropped in volume a bit possibly, be that the sound tech, or Sean or Mat bumping a knob throwing down!

His voice is completely gone. That's what you get for not using proper vocal techniques for this kind of music...How disappointing. I can't see see Loz going much longer like this, he needs to see a vocal coach.
Vheissu pretty sure he has been, had multiple surgeries as well and has changed a few aspects of his lifestyle to better look after himself. I think this is just a shitty recording, when I saw them live a couple years ago he sounded fine (but yeah I know he could’ve gotten worse).

Having a third throat surgery and performing this song live for the first time might have something to do with it ngl
honestly as a vocalist myself i think that he just uses a new and healthier technique for him, as he mentioned in the so what? documentary. He sounds pretty different from what he has sounded before, and it is so different that the first thing that comes to mind is a change of technique. He just learned it last summer from what i know so that could be the reason why it is not fully controlable for him yet. i don´t think that he keeps fucking up his voice, he would sound much different. oh and they could have thrown a compressor on his vocal chain, these uncontrolled dynamics drive me crazy

Robert Lane before they did this tour he literally spent ages with a vocal coach to sort out his voice so it’s kinda sad how this is how it sounds after he’s still trying to apply proper technique
