I was there at the RAH and this was a real highlight. The audience was, I think, almost shocked by her extraordinary voice, of great power and beauty, singing unaccompanied a Scottish lament. It was such a contrast to the rest of her repertoire at that point in her career - mostly pop music. Of course folk music is now the core of her concert performances which continue to amaze and delight her fans.
I watched her singing this last night (14/10/24).
She’s now 77. Spine tingling. What a wonderful talented treasure she is. ❤️
