In principle, construction comes to a standstill in the winter, many construction workers work in ski areas in the winter. They operate ski lifts, prepare the slopes, work in restaurants, push the snow with snow plows or work at the slope rescue service. This also applies to farmers, in the summer they are busy with the cattle on the Alm, and in the winter the cattle are in the stables and the farmers are busy working in the ski areas.
These videos are relaxing to watch and the scenery/countryside is so beautiful. I don’t mind snow and enjoy how it blankets the trees. I wonder tho, are all these roads one way as I can’t imagine two vehicles passing each other with the narrowness?
Not really Bud, I swear I am from the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee and I will tell you if they get snow like those fella is clearing the Whole State Shuts down. I live in Michigan now and this place has never shut down even at 18” of Snow blowing and drifting we don’t stop. I plowed for many many years and Four years ago we got what they call Thunder Snow which come down in Feet not inches, well it was blowing and drifting we at the time was contracted with Two School Districts so one literally had a Snow Drift Higher the the Single story Building. We had to Haul all the Snow to what we call Snow Fields which are nothing more then a farm field or a piece of vacant property the Schools own so it was moved out. Four Days Later Everything in the area was back to normal like it never Snowed.
I used to call when it Snowed Quarters From Heaven because we made so much Money back then of of the Accounts we had. Then everyone thought oh I can by a old 4x4 Truck w/ a Snow Plow and hence they were now in business so they didn’t know how to even Bid Competitively then over to the next year they made peanuts but we couldn’t pay help All the Insurances needed, fuel, wear and tear because something always breaks at the end of the Season I gave it up after 34 Years of Snow Removal. Now Winter is a Slow Down time, Relax catch their Breaths,

That would be a lot of fun plowing snow like that! My only fault would be that I would want to get as close to the edge as possible. I might get too close one time and everyone would hear me make one of those yodel yells as I was heading down the bank! Okay, maybe snowplowing would not be good for me! 🤣

I guess if your born into a Mountainous Place such as this then it come to a person Naturally. But for flat landers like me that absolutely looks Crazy to plow. I plowed Snow for 32 years before I had to give it up, I put many hours behind the Wheel of PlowTrucks Front End Loaders SaltTrucks been there done that with a huge difference those Mountains, not only Mountains But the Swiss Alps Mountains. Not.
I commend you on your Skill level on those Very Dangerous Mountain Roads. It takes a lot of Skill but even more so is Guts or what ever you would call it over there. But from my perspective it’s Mostly Skill but a whole lot of Flat out Guts. I mean this in No Disrespect at all. I honestly have never seen such Like what you are doing. Where I live in Michigan our Winters can vary from Middle of November to Middle of March for the most part. At any one time I have seen Upwards to 2.5 Feet of Snow over the course of 12 to 24 Hours rarely does it continue to snow Constant for an extended period of time. It looks like a Ford New Holland Tractor your operating. We own a Family Construction Company we do Work in the Quad States Here so we own A Whole Arsenal of Heavy Equipment including the New Holland Hydropower Tractor like you are driving. Now you making my feet Go Numb driving like that down that Mountain side like is a flay road like the Autobahn in Germany. Great Performance my Friend.

I know it’s a Tractor of sorts but that what we call a Snow Plow here in the US. Wether a Tractor, Snow Groomer, they are all referred to as Snow Plows. I did it for 34 years, I still own Four Snow Plows and Salters but I completely go out of the Business because of pre Retirement and Health Reasons.
