It's important to understand that this info is taken directly from the Infantry Field Manuals. There are differences depending on your MOS. Regardless, you will learn the Infantry Way first, unless you are in OSUT, then it will be geared towards your MOS's Battle Order. Since I was a 31B, this is exactly what I am referring to. The MP Fire Team has Three:TL who doubles as the Grenadier, SAW Gunner, and Driver who carries an M4 and also doubles as the Assistant Gunner when dismounted (carries SAW Spare Barrel, and extra ammo plus their own ammo). There are normally Three Fire Teams in each Squad (MP Squads, like Infantry Squads rarely have their full squad. Most of the time the Squad leader is also a Team Leader). Unlike Infantry Platoons, MP Platoons rarely have all their Squads together unless they are Doing a Mounted Mission, or are Deployed in a Riot Formation. (The Wedge is used in Riot Formations and in Mounted Formations as well). Not trying to hijack Matt's Class, just trying to give a little more info.

Back in 2007 went back to active service as military firefighter and will keep on doing it till the system will kick me out after I get over the expiration date! I miss being a paratrooper (for it was the best time of my life) and the airborne brotherhood but had to consider the comfort of wife and kids when I got back in active duty so I chose to change my MOS. In the end I have turned two of my childhood dreams a real thing: being a paratrooper and a firefighter! Wish you health, strength, a long career and a happy life!

What up Matt! I have a bit of a question on pushup form. I think I sent a vid to your email, but sometimes my shoulders protrude at the end of a 2 min pushup challenge, and I don't know if DI's will count that in.
What does "protrude" mean or look like. As long as you are doing push-ups to standard (now the ACFT standard) protruding isn't relevant. And the Army has DSs (Drill Sergeants). :_)
So i have a question. Im wanting to join national guard reserves but I dont believe I would be able to afford my bills on military pay as I would not be getting my normal paychecks while in basic. Does anyone know if mortgage companies or anything like that will put payments on hold while gone for military purposes?

You got plenty of time if you're just a Freshman. Just work on getting good grades and go from there. Maybe talk to a recruiter when you feel you're ready.
Uh, you shouldn't state what you're going to be until you have gone to a recruiter and know you qualify as a pilot. The Air Force will tell you what you're going to fly, if you qualify and complete all of the schools, before you can fly. I'm going to be President once I run for city council. Look me up when you become a pilot.

So I know I’m not gonna be flying a f-22 or a f-16c, all I know is I’m probably going to be in a a-10 or a f-35. But as long as I do what you just told me, the Air Force will let me know if I could qualify. And I was also wondering if you know if the airforce has anything like trainers to help me fly? I never flew a plane before lol
@@speedybeatzz9235 Remember, you don't get to choose and an A-10 is way different than the 5th Generation fighter, the F-35. F-35 pilots are not just random Air Force pilots that want to fly them. Dude, you need to lay off the video games and TH-cam and go to Air Force websites to get an idea of what reality is. You'll be luck if you get a job as a C-130 maintainer. Are you ready for SERE school? All military pilots in every branch are required to complete SERE (look it up). You get waterboarded there.
@@PinstripeJim I know this comment is old but in case anyone else sees it, just ignore the dicks who are going to talk you out of something you want to do, especially when it’s as achievable and being a pilot. They’re not always wrong about specifics but thats ok. Do your due diligence and talk to people who have been through what you want to do so you know what you’re getting in to. Then do it.
Hey matt I have a question. Right now I'm 14 years old and am contemplating my future plans in the military. I wouldn't be the first person to join the military in my family but my immediate family hasn't. Anyways I'm just nervous about the yelling during boot camp and other points in time. I wouldn't say I'm soft but I can't take yelling right now. When my mom yells at me I get really frustrated and sometimes cry. With my dad most of the time I cry after getting yelled at. It's because I get so mad because most of the time it's about stuff that I haven't done or made an honest mistake. Overall do you have any tips on how to handle yelling? Thanks.
if you can't handle getting yelled at now, don't join the military. You need to be able to deal with tough situations and people that think yelling is the way to give directions. Sounds like you need a therapist to deal with this.

Does it vary from rank to whether your Ng reserves or active. ? How does the retirement benefits from 4 years active duty compare to 6 years in reserves all the way up to the full 20 year full pension? Just something I've been thinking about lately and I feel you would be very informative on that information

It's not a swim qualification exactly. It's called "drown proofing". It's done in a pool and it's designed to teach you how to pack your ruck so it will not drag you down if you fall into some water somewhere. It's essentially a confidence training.
Yes you can after the first swearing in, but not after the second swearing in. If you’re in the National Guard then no since there is only one swearing in for you

I think I have a few of my older videos covering stories. For example I have one that my top 3 memories from BCT I believe. I usually do more stories during livestreams if I do them but since I'm still in, most stories will be from my current unit. So, I may not want to cover some of those stories just yet. lol

This is all unclassified. Anyone can download the information from the Internet.
Also, most "Peer" or "Near Peer" Enemies/Allies already have all of this information.
