Hi, im from Poland, i live 7 kilometres from Zalipie, and Stefania was my great-grandmother. When I was a child we would come to her, my mother would bring paints, set up the ladder, but Stefania would paint and renovate the paintings at home. Such a tradition. She was a really nice and lovely person. I am happy when even someone who did not know her talks about her with such passion.
I'm sorry I've only just seen your comment now. WOW, I'm in shock that Stefania was your great-grandmother. That's AMAZING! Thank you so much for sharing that with me. As you can see in the video, we were very moved and inspired by Stefania's creativity and obvious joy in painting and creating. How wonderful to have the memories of her that you do. My best wishes to you and your family. It means a lot to hear from you and know that you enjoyed our video. ❤️
Oh my gosh, I'm dreaming of what Zalipie must be like in the summertime. It's like a Disney animated movie in real life. Love love that church! What a magical discovery and share :) Blessings, James and Kim
That's true! It has a fairytale, almost cartoonish, quality given all the colours! I can imagine the flowers being animated and jumping off the wall to fly around and even start talking ;)
My goodness. Kinda like a fairy tale isn't it? If someone doesn't feel uplifted..and yes inspired...upon setting foot in such an adorable community, then there is something wrong with them!
Wow, my daughter would absolutely love these homes. So creative and free. Haha, your time is spent creating videos for us to enjoy ;p Flowers from wrappers...brilliant! Oh no, she fell into the well??? Best to leave the inside unpainted. I love that her grand daughter carried on the tradition. So great!!! Flower painting workshop...fun! That room in the church so beautiful. Loved the chandelier!!!
What a gorgeous start to my day! I know that I will be re-watching this video whenever I feel low. Your laughter and joy is infectious. Zalipie is now on my wish list!
If you like colorful buildings, you should see the market square in Zamość. I also recommend visiting Bolesławiec. The town is famous for handmade pottery.

The beautiful, creative energy of Zalipie could only be eclipsed by your enjoyment of the painted houses and the church! Your joy is so infectious! I thought it fitting that the first home you took us to belonged to a woman named Felicja. Reading through the comments left below, its sad that there aren't many villages like this left in Poland. I love folk art, and this form is so beautiful and tells us a lot about the people who created it. I especially love how they applied the colourful ornamentation to almost every surface.
I really like the HOLY PICTURES on the wall- good reminder about REAL PURPOSE OF OUR EXISTANCE- SALVATION and SANCTIFICATION OF OUR SOULs and GODLY LIVING.

We actually made videos about Vienna and the Christmas markets there if you'd like to see: bit.ly/ViennaPlaylist :)
I think the room in the church is the sacristy.
Who does the editing for your videos? I love the music used for the transitions. This is really well done. And thanks for saying nice things about Poland. Communism almost ruined the country so it's taken a while to catch up to other parts of Europe. You guys seem like nice genuine people.
Thank you! We do the editing. And we love Poland ❤️
