Maybe the seat kill switch could be replaced with a tether like in snowmobiles. It would still allow you to get off the lawn mover to remove stones and toys from the lawn. However, it would still prevent accidents like in the video.

They are young and most probably didn't have the time to develop the problems you're talking about, at such a young age is more probable that a short-term problem like the one I described is happening. Most probably, they have been a couple only for 3-5 years and this dude is getting bored of her as of late, that's why we are seeing a pretty harmless, void of any malice and pretty clumsy slapping - and also why the dude is so surprised, this has never happened before, she does not have the technique of a domestic abuser, and most probably she loves him enough to have been withstanding this shit for the past few months for such a jelousy to build up. Hence why I say 3-5 years, not enough to have marital problems but enough to have developed some love. If we're going to assume things, at least let's assume plausible things with some logic.
