    Very very good content, thank you Matt!
    i would love an option in gto wizard to put in Limps at deeper stack depths, maybe with a guessed node lock from your experiences on what most amateurs limp. And see how the solver would attack a weaker range.. I don't feel like I get 3betted when I iso limps at live, usually mostly calls or alot of folds. So I like to target and iso that weak range to get headsup spots against that player. :)

    How often are we limping when on a soft table that opponents rarely 3bet? Are we still employing this percentage of limping? Especially from earlier position?

    In the cEV sim all stacks are even; how do you think things change when you are the only shortstack?

    Everything is fine, but the last point 'limping in ICM is unacceptable' is wrong. There are a lot of situations when you must have a limping range under the hard ICM pressure.

    I tried to solve the over limping strategy on HRC beta but i did not succed.
    It appears the later positions should have an overlimp strategy and a ISO raise strategy. Does it mean they should raise their best combos and overlimp the bottom ? For exemple after LJ limps, CO should overlimp 20% and raise 10%. Does it mean they should pure raise with pp7+, KQ and AT+ and pure overlimp with hands as weak as A7off, pp2 or 65s?
    thanks for reading

      This really depends on the exact scenario, stack depth, original limping range, etc. Generally, once someone has limped, other players have more incentive to over-limp

    I feel like if you’re ever limping in position with any 2 cards it makes it really hard for you to rep certain boards when you miss. Not a big fan. Don’t we want to be able to rep any board? Limping in small blind is totally acceptable I feel. But other than that I think it’s a big no no.

      I think it’s more of a way to see a cheap flop especially when you’re deep stacked in the middle of the tournament. You can start exploiting the mid to low stack players if you hit a decent or strong flop by getting in cheap. Otherwise you can just get out of the way for a small fee.

    It’s my opinion that the words always or never should not be in a poker players vocabulary to say one should never limp or to say one should always raise is very exploitable

    If I l've learned anything from own experience, it's "never allow the BB to show up to the flop with any 2"

    • @vandalar
      @vandalar ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That is only true if BB was a perfectly playing opponent IMO or when you don't have an edge over your opponent. Which is clearly not the case. It is much easier to narrow down a range when pot is raised and bigger, making decisions slightly easier IMO.

    In a bounty tournament, when really shallow stacked, I would rather move all in with my premium hands than limp.

    • @B0bi_007
      @B0bi_007 ปีที่แล้ว

      That is the correct strategy, because you will get called more often in bounty tournaments, and you want to force them to call you when you have premium hands
