A tip of the hat to you, sir! Glad you liked it. Thanks for the comment! And much obliged if you decide to pass it along. Another one of mine you might like, all on Route 66 -- "Time to Zoom" th-cam.com/video/2C3ZoZ9yNH0/w-d-xo.html
I would like to be able to ride Route 66 from Chicago to LA, warts and all. There is at least one bridge that is not serviceable, and some sections are blocked off or gone. Instead of repaving a section of road that was probably just fine, couldn't someone have repaired the sections that aren't passable?
I'm with you on that. It would have been nice to preserve Route 66 intact but it was cobbled apart for the Interstates. Sections of it don't exist anymore, others run to dead-ends. Trying a Chicago to LA run on 66 would be a frustrating patchwork. No one is responsible for overseeing the whole thing. Individual states, counties decide how to treat it. But some stretches are still there, and they are fun. Thanks for the comment.
Now that was kewl beans my friend, kewl beans......Think I'll post this on the Rte 66 thread......
