I was beaten by my "dad" as a kid, he was so awful. I have adhd, dyslexia, and I struggled so badly in school. I got pushed around, bullied, I was always in trouble and failing at everything. I felt so alone, so lost till my musical arts teacher at a shitty private school gave me the percy Jackson book "the lightning thief" He believed in me, he told me I'd find myself in the pages of I just took a chance. 12 years later I'm 23, I'm in business courses for logistics and management bringing in 14.50 an hour living far away from my old hometown off the Atlantic coast. My life is good and I have those books to thank for it. I found myself in Percy because he was me, I still have hard times but I grew up to be my own hero after he showed me how it was done, after he taught me that loser is just a winner that hasn't tried hard enough yet. Thank you Rick Riordan, thank you Percy, you saved my life...

Assassin's originally got its first run off Broadway before getting it's revival on Broadway. But don't despair. I've read that there are plans for a national tour starting FALL 2018. At the beginning of the book Percy said, "Look, I didn't want to be a half-blood." The first thing that Percy says in the musical is, "Look, I didn't want to be a half-blood." This is better than the movies. It actually has the real storyline, unlike the first movie. they didn't even have an oracle in the movie!

While this is a great song and I'm kind of crying, in the book I'm pretty sure that he acknowledges that he's a troublemaker, although he doesn't really know why and it's not on purpose, he just always seems to screw up everything.
That's the point. It all has to do with his fatal flaw. Remember, in the books he gets kicked out because he befriends the wimpiest kids and then ends up protecting them from bullies and getting entirely blamed for the violence that ensues. He never tries to make trouble, but he stands up for everyone and that creates trouble.
I remember before I started reading Percy Jackson and thinking i was the only one like this I really thought i was the only kid who couldn’t pay attention got confused at school and argued with teachers then I started reading this series and seriously it changed my outlook on myself alot seeing percy and every other character be heroes made me so hopeful that i could be successful someday im currently 17 and sometime things are still tough but now i know im not the only one with these issues thanks to Percy Jackson I felt confident enough to talk about this stuff and now i feel so much less alone i don’t know if you’re going to see this but thank you Rick Riordan

But this one is saying that Percy’s whole life he has been rejected, or called a criminal. Then the one person who has ever cared for him was suddenly gone. So Percy’s trouble is not being good enough for anyone while Annabeth’s is not being noticed by the gods. But in the end, they do get what they want. Percy is good enough for Annabeth and Annabeth is noticed by Percy. Perfect!

This is better than the movies. It actually has the real storyline, unlike the first movie. they didn't even have an oracle in the movie!

While this is a great song and I'm kind of crying, in the book I'm pretty sure that he acknowledges that he's a troublemaker, although he doesn't really know why and it's not on purpose, he just always seems to screw up everything.
Which is kind of the point of the song. He tries to be good, but it kind of just happens. He's aware that things don't always go right for him.

No but He was blamed about the lightning and kinda forced to take the quest and leave the camp.
That's the point. It all has to do with his fatal flaw. Remember, in the books he gets kicked out because he befriends the wimpiest kids and then ends up protecting them from bullies and getting entirely blamed for the violence that ensues. He never tries to make trouble, but he stands up for everyone and that creates trouble.

I remember before I started reading Percy Jackson and thinking i was the only one like this I really thought i was the only kid who couldn’t pay attention got confused at school and argued with teachers then I started reading this series and seriously it changed my outlook on myself alot seeing percy and every other character be heroes made me so hopeful that i could be successful someday im currently 17 and sometime things are still tough but now i know im not the only one with these issues thanks to Percy Jackson I felt confident enough to talk about this stuff and now i feel so much less alone i don’t know if you’re going to see this but thank you Rick Riordan

I relate to Percy so much cuz I was bullied as a kid as well. I absolutely loved this musical and my high school that performed this portrayed it so beautifully, which made me love this musical even more. I absolutely adore their songs.

But this one is saying that Percy’s whole life he has been rejected, or called a criminal. Then the one person who has ever cared for him was suddenly gone.
So Percy’s trouble is not being good enough for anyone while Annabeth’s is not being noticed by the gods. But in the end, they do get what they want. Percy is good enough for Annabeth and Annabeth is noticed by Percy. Perfect!
