Shame how Weiss has ironically pretty low standards when she picks the tryhard that uses pickup lines on everyone over the tryhard that wants only her.
It's very understandable that Blake feels a certain amount of responsibility when it comes to the going ons of the White Fang, but Weiss is also correct in pointing out that they're still children and students. That said everyone choosing to support Blake regardless is still a fantastic moment for the team.
Fun Facts Fact 1: This is the first episode in which fanart was shown during the ending credits. In order to make it possible, a fanart contest was held by the production team. Fact 2: The comic Jaune is reading in the library is titled X-Ray and Vav, which is a separate mini-series developed by Rooster Teeth. The same comic was seen picked up by Mercury in the previous episode. Said comic also has the logo of Achievement Hunter, Rooster Teeth's gaming division. The characters of X-Ray and Vav were created by Achievement Hunter member Gavin Free and former member Ray Narvaez, Jr. Fact 3: The line, "Pretty sneaky, sis", is from a 1981 Connect Four television commercial. Fact 4: Yang's line, "You've just activated my trap card" is a reference to the 1998 television series Yu-Gi-Oh! based on the manga of the same name. In fact, the process by which Ruby and Yang explain the function of each card is a direct reference to Yu-Gi-Oh! and every card-based show that followed it. Fact 5: Remnant: The Game holds several semblances to other games: the cards bear a resemblance to those of Magic: The Gathering, the term "trap card" is an obvious reference to Yu-Gi-Oh, as stated above, the map that they are playing on could be a reference to games like Catan, and rolling "a seven or above" implies that they are using a d12 or d20 from Dungeons and Dragons.
General James Ironwood, Headmaster of Atlas Academy, and commander of the Atlesian military, is inspired by the tin man from The Wizard Of Oz. (Like anyone with connections to Ozpin)
You just have to love that level of commitment Team RWBY has for each other, they really are growing as a family on top of a team. Also, Pyrrha going "Hello, again!" gets me every time. EVERY. TIME.
I don't know why, but I find it funny who plays what kingdom in the board game. Ruby deployed the Atlesian Airfleet, so she must be Atlas, which doesn't really mix with her chaotic personality. Weiss, officially an Atlesian citizen and rather uppity, is playing Vacuo, known for its harsh climate and rough and tumble people. Blake, who only relatively recently came to Beacon is playing as Vale, where they are currently located (and where Ruby and Yang are from). Which leaves Yang as playing Mistral, where I don't really see any connection.
After you finish this volume and volume 3, I highly recommend RWBY Chibi. It’s pretty much a comedy shorts series that uses the cast very well. Don’t watch it before you finish the next two volumes because there are references (and spoilers) to the first three volumes all throughout
I freaking LOVE your reactions to this series I honestly thought y'all would've laughed more at the scene where Weiss slumps back down into her seat saying, "I hate this game of emotions we play." then Ruby says, "Stay strong Weiss, we'll make it through this together." then Weiss says, "Shut up, don't touch me." and then proceeds to immediately hug Ruby back
YES!!!! You are I think the first reactors that said that Ozpin scene with Blake was reminiscent of Harry Potter. Like nobody else ever comments on that and hell, I've had to pull out the books to show people the similarity in the scene. That bit sticks out to me with bright flashing neon lights and I was always baffled no one ever catches it.
Has anyone ever come up with a playable version of Remnant: The Board Game? There IS a tabletop game for the series, but it’s definitely not this one. 6:08 …Okay. Weiss. I like you dearly, but you may have some SERIOUS issues. 12:23 😳 SERIOUS “Oh Crap!” Moment, right here!
Felt bad for Blake trying to take trying to take responsibility for the White Fang. I mean you can understand but what Weiss said is true. Also, love Weiss' scene with Ruby. "Don't touch me", proceeds to do the touching anyways
*INTRODUCING* - James Ironwood (The Tin Man) *TERMS* - Vytal Festival: An annual celebration of the Kingdoms' unity, with a sporting combat tournament as its key feature. Its location rotates between the nations each year. *MY COMMENTS* - Ozpin serves hot cocoa, by the by. - "Pretty sneaky, sis." - Connect Four
The big rule of making a actual good villain is one who can blend in and deceive, XANA from Code Lyoko is pretty good but because he is a program, he starts off failing at that as seen in Ghost Channel BUT overtime and with the advent of Possessing Humans and eventually have William Dunbar, he becomes better at it and well, that's why he's an amazing Villain and Ranked S Tier for my List which I have yet to make.
That’s another point in Cinder’s corner as well, since she’s a master at both deception and blending in. Moreover, she learns from her mistakes and is able to work them into advantages for her and better herself in the long run. That makes Cinder an incredibly dangerous main villain.
12:30 And here it is, the beginning: the moment where the series’ main protagonist (Ruby Rose) and main antagonist (Cinder Fall) first meet properly (their fight in the very first episode of Volume 1 doesn’t count). Little does Ruby know that she’s just met the most dangerous person on the planet, nor the atrocities that said person would go on to cause… 🔥⚡️😈⚡️🔥
In that flashback, Ozpin suspects that Blake is part of the White Fang or at least have a relationship with the organization, thats why he said that as a hunter he have a responsability against the forces that conspires against the world, if Blake tell him the truth, even if she says that she is no longer a member, she would likely be expulsed from Beacon and even get arrested (being a faunus would even decrease the credibily of her story against the police, you know, discrimination), so, Blake cant tell anything about the information she have to help the autorithies, thats why she is so nervous, something big is happening and nobody is in the case and she cant trust "anyone" but herself, or at least thats the way she thinks, but in this episode her team got her back and now team RWBY is in the case.
I'm certain Ozpin would have kept Blake's White Fang connection secret if she admitted it. He was looking for her cooperation and information, not a way to punish her.
Ozpin would 100% NOT punished her, because he already knew she was part of the White Fang, or suspected so hard he accepted it as truth. Its one of those moments where an adult is talking to a child and trying to figure out WHY they did something, rather than IF they did it.
Blake:i want people to see me for who i am not what am i. literally one second later, lie to Professor Ozpin in his face:i.....i don't understand what you're asking🤷♂
General ironwood...based on the tinman from wizard of oz... character trait....strict military no nonsense code...but can be.....but overdoing in some situations
I had a lot of joy watching your reaction, if you loved the regular rwby, you should really react to rwby chibi, is basically a parody of the show made by rooster teeth.
Very good reaction Ken, Beth may I introduce you to are two new characters General James Ironwood Headmaster of Atlas Acadamy and General of the Atlesian Military he is based on the Tinman from The Wizard of Oz your gonna want to get use to him because you're going to see him a lot, and finally Neptune Vasilias a member of Team SSSN (Sun) and Sun's partner who is of course based off of the Roman God Neptune or if you more familiar with his Greek counterpart Poseidon the God of the Sea, anyway, this was another good chapter interested what you will think of the next one especially since we have a returning character from the previous Volume showing up next take care you two.
NGL unlike other recs I don't suggest you react to Chibi RWBY. It could be fun to watch on your free time but I'd rather watch you progress through the main series! There's so much to catch up on considering that the new volume is on its way. 15:18 distrustful of anyone who cares too much about looking cool? You might change your mind by the last chapter of this volume ;)
I've got nothing to add with this chapter, Ken & Beth. Just a fine episode to watch and well-written, I think. Let's just see what plays out over the next few chapters..... 😄👍🌹👏😎
I never liked Ironwood and his cold, logical approach to everything. He's very much like the Tin Man he's based on, with no heart to guide his actions. Also the growing friendship between Weiss and Ruby is very cute. It's a very slow build but it's clear that they're working very hard to try and become closer as people, even if they're fundamentally different in personalities.
Re-watching RWBY with your reactions is a great way to refresh while waiting for Volume 9 to drop. I don't know the exact date, but I hope it comes out before or as you catch up to it. The waiting game between seasons sucks, especially this latest being longer than usual lol. Looking forward to next week!
One of my favourite moments of RWBY is Weiss saying to Ruby “Shut up, don’t touch me!” As she hugs her lol.
I love how Neptune called Weiss “Snow Angel” and she’s flattered when that was the same thing Jaune called her in Volume 1 but it was taken as sad lol
Which i why Jaune wasnt so thrilled.
Blue hair does wonders. 😂
@@valathor95 "But your SO cool!" "Thanks! I Try REALLY hard!"
Shame how Weiss has ironically pretty low standards when she picks the tryhard that uses pickup lines on everyone over the tryhard that wants only her.
@@daysand123 i was surprised that she didnt shoot Neptune down too, given her reasons for dismissing Jaune (explored in Vol 5).
It's very understandable that Blake feels a certain amount of responsibility when it comes to the going ons of the White Fang, but Weiss is also correct in pointing out that they're still children and students. That said everyone choosing to support Blake regardless is still a fantastic moment for the team.
The problem is that she sees every bad deed done by the White Fang as her fault and tries to solve it alone.
Pyrrha instantly reacting to Jaune saying her name... 💕

RWBY reactions for the win.
Ironwood is a...interesting character.. but also an absolute Chad. I personally love him and how he's written.
