  • This is one of those videos where I was doing something and thought I'd set the camera up while I was at it. Having put the Sloting Plus in the NSR Fiat 500 Abarth and improved the car considerably from the box stock setup, I thought it was time to do a little more refining, setting the front axle height using some guide spacers.

That one sits with the small revoslots now, I'm sure there is a little bit more in it but it's not close to the Revo 911, nothing much is yet

Tip for you when putting the eyelets into the guide with the braid in, put the braid in and bend in the guide, then place the car on a setup block with guide in place, and push eyelets in with a screwdriver against the setup block, this will then mean you get a 90 degree bend on the braid then bend the braid to taper away from the guide the further back it goes. The braid you've put in is angled the opposite direction to this . You want the rear of the braid to be the contact point whereas the way you have them likely the braids main contact point is in the middle of the braid.

Hi Lee, OK thank you, I'll try that. This video was a while ago now and I have got the taper thing resolved but I will definitely try your method on the two new Revos I need to rebraid in the coming week :)

@@slotr another thing that helps is use the natural curve of the braid to point away in the taperand slightly pointing away from the guide when looked top down . Maybe less of a deal on your track with a fairly narrow slot/rail
