Great video. Get your own authority. Yes, you might have higher insurance expenses, but they'll even out with the percentage you won't give Mercer. You'll make the same money running local and home every night. Family time is very important. Happy Holidays!
Good information, I got lazy recently and wasn’t putting my information into KR’s Profit Gauges and was operating my business blind and made some bad decisions on loads. At the time they looked good but on paper not so much. I have got my fuel cost down to $0.36 a mile now using the NASTC card and as I run in the NE trying to cut down on tolls. Thanks for taking the time to make these videos.
@@flyingpaddy7525 absolutely no problem. It happens sometimes, but at least you realized it and got back on track. Unfortunately too many guys have no idea what their cost per mile is or they don’t calculate all of their miles.

you're the only Mercer driver on youtube describing your experience. Thanks for the insight, seems both landstar and mercer pay about the same
@@blackfalcon1610 thanks I just try to keep it real.
It’s not about how much you make, but about how much you keep 😉
@@alix7133 absolutely
Do they still have that first in first out load rule
@@johnlovett2497 yes sir they do
You ever consider getting your own trailer and avoid trailer rental fee 🤔
@@chuckyf-u2395 yes but that would cut out drop and hook options. Sometimes those are the best laying loads
