Nope. Slightly different weapon though extremely similar.

Are tanjo and hanbo the same length ?

The tanjo jitsu kata are performed with tanjo and boken. The hanbo jitsu kata are performed while both persons using the tanjo.

@@jezah8142 tanjo length depends on height of person but hanbo is set but they are about the same length. Tanjo can also be tapered
