Though Yasuda Kinen is a mile race, a concept about Tokyo Racecourse is that it requires a horse's ability to compete at 1800m to win Yasuda Kinen due to its up-and-down runway. This is reported by HK media and believed by us. In other words, Romantic Warrior's team thinks it is a race of 1800m and believes Romantic Warrior can do this. Wish to know if you agree with this or think otherwise.
@@kh3718 I see. So that is how it is considered in Hong Kong. In today's mile races in Tokyo, you are expected to have the aptitude as a sprinter who can run 1400 meters. The reason is that today's races in Japan, especially the race courses where the big G1 races are held, have become very fast. The horse that won the Victoria Mile the other day was also a horse with an aptitude for 1400 meters. However, this weekend's Tokyo race will be rained out, so the trend will change. The race will require tougher horses, so horses that can run at 1800 or 2000 meters are expected to have an advantage. Can Romantic Warrior run on heavy tracks?
@@ラーメンライス-q2w The above-mentioned QEII Cup was the only race which Romantic Warrior was on a yielding, if not heavy, track. He still showed that he could compete on a slightly moisten track. Horses like Prognosis were in that race and you may judge how such track affects them. If Sunday is in heavy rain then it will be difficult to guess. By the way, 川田將雅, to be frank, reporters/critics in HK were not very impressed with his performance with his races in HK. But his performance with Prognosis in QEII Cup was praised and it really posed strong threat to Romantic Warrior. Delightedly (in my view😄) Romantic Warrior still come over this
@@kh3718 Thanks for your info. We Japanese horse racing fans are aware that Romantic Warrior is a very strong horse because he won the W. S. Cox Plate too. Some horse racing fans say he cannot run well over 1600 meters in Tokyo course , but I disagree. This year's Yasuda Kinen has two horses from Hong Kong, so I am very much looking forward to the race, but it is very difficult to predict... However, as I said before, everyone recognizes Romantic Warrior's ability, so I will enjoy buying tickets for the two Hong Kong horses, because Japanese horses are currently short-handed in the mile races. ことマイラー馬体として1位異論ないです。私の2位はレッドモンレーブ。番外がステラです。マイルは短いですが一番の本格派だと見ております。
