Nice, but Shelly products are easier to use in standalone mode. Sonoff products require using their app and giving device access to the cloud. That is a security concern.

Why on earth would you cut the switch wires. Just undo the terminal screws and take the wies out! Then use two short pieces of wire to make the switch connection.
