Watching Evangelion for the first time on Netflix, I had no idea about the fly me to the moon credits. However I felt this served as a good replacement. With no prior knowledge of the show this theme gave me a deep sense of dread and foreboding. Like something awful was going to happen at any minute and it’s only a matter of when.
So this is the ending for all of the Netflix Evangelion.. Beautifully errie.
Fun fact: Rei means "zero" in Japanese. I dunno if it's attributed to her being the pilot of the EVA-ZERO or of her emptiness.
