It depends on the university. It took me a year for the whole procedure. In which I completed the paperwork. The university gives one month time in which you must reach China.So don't worry. Everything will be fine.

Yes you can go with your mother , student ka jana srf documents ki verification k liye important hai and try to go early morning, 8:00 tk apko wahan hona chahye must , further steps apko wahan ja k easily pta chal jaty hain , So don't worry koi restrictions nai hti easily hojye ga sb kch.
