The grandfather that was dead wasn’t Fuhito but her Maternal Grandfather Uzuochi (I forgot how to spell it). Basically the grandfather that was dead is her mom’s dad. When Fuhito was away abroad to solve cases, he entrusted Kyoko to the maids and her maternal grandfather. Kyoko also learned self defense from her other grandfather because he was a martial artist. So no, Fuhito is still alive and that’s why the Warriors of Hope used him as a captive. (Also if Fuhito wasn’t so intent on making her a detective then she probably would’ve been a martial artist which I lowkey find funny)

He was able to act and look perfectly like him so even Kyoko was unable to tell the difference. Her original 3 maids were replaced by Shinsen's own servants. They were to spy on her and kill her if necessary. Shinsen wanted to make sure Kyoko attended the Duel Noir so he could lead Yui and Kyoko into his trap. Thats why he killed her mom's dad. It was to simply replace him.
When u find the hit list and finish the game, you can continue the game with all of your past items, meaning u would have everything and could give the hit list to her
I really wished that we met all of them. I think it would’ve been more interesting to get to know the characters on the hit list. But that’s just my opinion.
