im a bit confused, do you resist the movement or do they ? and is there a difference between that and the strength test? thank you in advance

Hi! The clinician would resist the movement performed by the patient - and this is generally how you would test strength with manual muscle testing

Out of curiosity, what is the name of the test when you test for nerological weakness?
When the patient resists the movement

when you do the resisted test, would you put the joint in mid range of the tested movement?

Hi John! Yes mid-range most common but you can do in different ranges if you feel it would be useful
