Girrrrlll... I just went out and scooped up both the complexion rescue and the mac studio fix after watching this and I'm in loveeeee. Literally watched this like 15 times... you're the pressed powder QUEEEEEEN! LOL
At 51 and trying so many foundations and spending $$$ I think it’s time we go back to basics… totally binge watching all your powder videos and I have to say your skin looks so flawless yet skin like in all these videos… I’ll be going back to powder this year!
OMG… you are amazingly stunning with no make up on! I’m watching this video because I’m curious about press powders obviously… And then the screen goes to you barefaced, and my jaw dropped. Your freckles are the most adorable thing I’ve ever seen, and it’s abundantly clear that you take such good care of your skin.❤❤❤❤ I think you might be my bare skin idol! Lol. What a blessing to be beautiful with and beautiful without!
I was going to comment you are the queen of powder foundation but someone already said that lol. You truly are the queen of powder foundation. 👸 I can't get enough of your videos!! You are so gorgeous!! 😘
Great informative video. I use to work for Lancôme and wore their Dual Finish pressed powder for years! This makes me want to go buy one again. Congratulations on the milestone - well deserved pretty girl.
I love your videos! Thank you for listing all the products you use, along with the colors since your complexion is almost exactly the same as mine. I've purchased a lot of these products and love them! Thank you for keeping it real, we need honest people like you!
Love complexion rescue with pressed powder! Especially in the summer when my skin isn't as dry. Complexion rescue has made matte pressed powders possible for me!
I have both the Complexion Rescue as well as the Mac fix plus powder foundation but never tried them in combination. Will def try this combo tomorrow!! Thanks for the video and congrats on 100k subscribers 💝💐
Love your powder foundation (loose or pressed) videos. These are my favorite makeup’s and wear nothing else. I learned to always use the complexion rescue under both.it is the perfect base ..primers always made it look blotchy and awful., this is the most amazing finish. Love!!!
I found using a blush or any fluffier brush works really well with applying powder foundation on me too. It’s just a more natural finish. Thanks for making this vdo!
Your videos are really making me want to try powder foundation! I have combo/oily skin though. One of my biggest issues right now is getting suncreen to not get gross/pill up underneath my makeup. I wonder if powder foundation would help with that?
Ah I'm so glad I found you! I have such dry skin and wanted to try powder foundation because the liquids always are too full coverage and my makeup comes out cakes no matter what I do. I can never find fellow dry girls and I am so glad to have found you!!!!
Yesss finally people using Mac studio fix instead of a liquid foundation! Been feeling like such a weird freak for my old-school foundation technique 😂
Congrats on 100k! so deserving! I use a cc or bb cream under my powder foundation n I love it! I've been using the pur cosmetics pressed foundation but definitely want to try Mac!
Hi shelly can you please do a review on the the new powder foundation from The Balm. It's suppose to be great for dry skin. It's called The PhotoBalm Powder foundation. Thanks and you look beautiful as usual!!!
Love the tutorial! How well would this work for someone that is in their 50's? Would it give a smooth finish over fine lines and wrinkles? Would the foundation last in the heat?
Wedding make up video please!!! And yes I agree, you totally rock with powder foundations and have convinced me to re fall in love with bare minerals original!!! Your beautiful ❤️❤️
I just invested in the BarePro foundation and I've been playing with it for a few days. I haven't tried using the complexion rescue as a primer yet, but that'll be my next experiment since I already have it. So far I'm loving it and this will be my go-to for an everyday, better version of myself. I also use the bareskin concealer, the Becca Sunchaser palette, my Sweet Peach palette for eyes and MAC Gigablast mascara. I've been setting with the Pixi illuminating spray, and so far, all systems go.
Yay!!! Girl you finally hit that 100k! Well deserved. I've been waiting to see it Happen for you! I've been a bare minerals girl since like 12 years and it's always perfection. Even when I trailed off To liquid for convince BM is still ride or die!
After watching your last video on what you've been wearing lately, I've been doing the complexion rescue/studio fix powder combo with the blush brush and I've been obsessed! I have oily skin and it works perfectly for me. The other day my friend said my makeup looked flawless! Thank you! 😘
Oml BUFF. The step I never do with powder foundation. And here I was complaining about how bad powder foundations are for years. Thankyou so much for the knowledge, I almost throw a new pressed foundie! Now I'mma give it a try
what about SPF? how do you incorporate that into the makeup routine without getting it rubbed off when buffing powder over it? i'm afraid i might end up causing the SPF to start pilling after all that buffing in
Could you do a eyebrow tutorial? They look so good and so natural! I thought I had to use a primer when using the studio fix powder because my pores look HUGE. Thank you!!!!
I would love to continue using the complexion gel from BM but it transfers so easily, feels greasy on my skin, etc. So I just use Covergirl clean bb cream underneath my kat von d powder foundation! (:
Love these videos! I love powder foundation. Are you going to try the new bareminerals foundation where you color match with an app on your phone? Also, they now make a pressed powder form of well rested that is sold on QVC. I'm loving it!
Hi Shelbey, thank you for doing a make-up tutorial using the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue. I've been using this wonderful tinted hydrating gel for a few years now. It's perfect for my dry skin. I use the color Bambo. I wear it under the BM Original Foundation in Natural Ivory 06. I use it as a setting powder. It works great and I get fantastic, day long coverage And of course I use Warmth as a bronzer and then finish with the Hydrating Mineral Veil. I learned how to use BM's by watching your videos though-out the years. I used to have rosecea years ago, but it's faded away since using BM's. I can't thank you enough Shelbey for being my "go-to" person and makeup guru for the BM products. And you'll probably laugh when I admit that I used to be a ONE product gal but you also helped teach me and a lot of others, that it's OK to add other products to our make-up routine too. (": BTW, did you hear that BM's will soon be introducing a NEW Bare Minerals Foundation? I hope you'll try it and give us your thoughts and advice when it comes out. Thank you.
Balance and Brighten offered little coverage on me and almost a chalky appearance. IT Cosmetics Celebration and Celebration Illumination both looked like cheap powder sitting on top of my skin, no matter what I did to apply it.
L M Turner yep you're right! Everyone is different. I worked for bareMinerals for 5 years so I really gained experience in proper application. There's definitely a technique to getting great coverage and it's not always brought to the consumer's attention. I had issues with IT's coloring system in the powder too. Both medium and light looked peach on my skin and I absolutely hate anything with that undertone lol
that looks amazing on you!question:I can't find bare minerals in Greece.can you suggest a powder of another brand ?and the powder you put on top for glow ???an what's that song???so good!kisses from greece
Thanks for posting! I love all of your bareMinerals tutorials, they have really helped me up my game :) Have you heard anything about the new bareMinerals Made 2 Fit foundation?
Thank you Shelby. I truly appreciate your tutorials. I am a Bare Minerals lover too and always go back to it. I have recently discovered the Bare Pro on one of my trips back to Bare Mineral land, LOL! Can you address how someone with slightly oily skin would approach a powered foundation such as Bare Pro? Would I continue to moisturize before application, or skip that step if I am running oily that day? Thanks so much for sharing your wealth of knowledge. And congratulations on your recent wedding. Best wishes for you.
When your skin is oily, it's supposedly dehydrated under the surface. It's always important to moisturize so I would definitely suggest applying a light weight gel or lotion beforehand :) Thank you!
You are absolutely adorable, sooo pretty! I have also become a powder foundation girl. It just sits so much better on the skin! Maybe it’s a dry skin problem? Are you a dry skin girl as well?? I just always assumed dry skin = liquid foundation. I’m willing to bet even oilier skin would like powders more!
New subscriber! Have you tried the Tarte Amazonian Clay Full Coverage Airbrush Foundation? Unfortunately we don't get BM here & I'm interested to know if they are comparable.
Yes I have. In my opinion it does not compare to bareMinerals. I know a lot of people like it but it looked like nothing more than a drugstore powder sitting on top of my skin.
Hi Shelbey, Sorry to put this question in public but I was quite excited to see your brows because they are quite like mine. I notice that 1 side is more curved than the other while the other is more sharp. I like my sharp side more and want to know how I can ensure that both my brows are of the same shape. Do you have a recommendation for me? :)
❤️ I'm a new subscriber and I have never thought about just using powder foundation but u have inspired me! What do u think of It Cosmetic's Celebration Foundation Illumination...
New to the channel. What would be your best recommendation for a drugstore pressed powder foundation that has a little glow to it and best drugstore brush to use with it??
I've been loving the Covergirl Healthy Vitalist Powder recently. It's more on the matte side but when applied lightly it lets your natural skin come through. I'd use something like a Real Techniques Contour Brush!
Do you feel like you can get medium coverage with complexion rescue alone? That's what I usually do, and I wonder if my eyes are deceiving me, lol... Also, do you prefer to layer complexion rescue with the original BM or the presses powder one when you want full coverage? I never tried pressed powder foundation, and this video made me want to try it. Tks! Great video, as always!!!
Rebeca da Costa This is the approach I take with a lighter tinted moisturizer type if product. I use that, a good concealer, and then a really good setting powder and think it looks really nice as natural for everyday.
New subscriber, just watched a bunch of your videos. I recently switched to powder only foundation, no more liquid for me but I'm having a hard time finding a good powder brush. Some waste too much product, others bristles are too loose or too packed. Can you do a video on your favorite brushes please? I know you mentioned the blush brush in this video. - thanks
Nyx Stay matte but not flat is a good dupe for Studio Fix Powder Foundation! I've heard BH Cosmetics has another good powder foundation and L'oreal has a Mineral loose powder too
Thank you for doing this video!! I wanna buy the Mac studio fix powder and I was matched to either nc25 o nc20 but none of them match me perfectly nc20 is a little too light and nc25 is a little too dark, any suggestion? Or any shade in between nc20 and nc25? Even if it’s another brand? I’m a 22 year old trying to start doing make up and I’m lost, I feel the make up artist at Mac wasn’t paying me much attention, and I basically had to find my own shade using internet lol so I probably am missing a shade. Thank you!!!!!
I have pretty dry skin with redness from rosacea, is powder foundation still a good option? And which ones do you recommend especially to help with redness
Do you think that if I were to lay mufe face and body foundation first instead of the bare minerals rescue complexion, I would have the same results? Congrats on 100K!
Hi. What would u recommend for THE HIGHEST COVERAGE Powder foundation for someone matured with dry skin? I really love the convenience of powder but have not found any that can give super high coverage like cream or few of my liquid foundation can (3 of my favs are: Marc Jacob Remarcable/Too Faced Born This Way/Estee Lauder Double wear). Please recommend, I'll really appreciate it.
The one I used in this video is pretty high coverage. I just don't build it up that way for a daily makeup look. Estee Lauder also makes a double wear powder foundation - have you tried it?
You are the queen of powder foundation!!! x
woot woot! :) Thank you
Love love hang over
Love this! I also have that IT angled brush and I LOVE IT! Now I’m gonna use it for foundation. Thanks for the tip!
This look is the best for every day makeup. You do make up so well! It's not too much and not too little. It looks 'light and airy', it's perfect.
Thank you!
You're welcome! Anytime.
Girrrrlll... I just went out and scooped up both the complexion rescue and the mac studio fix after watching this and I'm in loveeeee. Literally watched this like 15 times... you're the pressed powder QUEEEEEEN! LOL

Love your hair styled like this!!! It's adorable! Makeup look is gorgeous!
I’m so into powder foundation even at over 50 but all the tips from you and Taylor Wynn work amazingly. Great videos

Aw - thanks so much!
Shelbey, this is a fabulous foundation routine for me. Thank you sweetheart!
Love complexion rescue with pressed powder! Especially in the summer when my skin isn't as dry. Complexion rescue has made matte pressed powders possible for me!
So great to hear!
can you use a regular moisturiser under the Studio Fix powder?
I'm so glad I saw this! I used to use the MAC powder foundation for years. I kind of forgot about it😬 Thanks for the reminder!
Wow! What a huge transformation. ..the power of makeup!
You legit make me want to try pressed powder foundation! I've only ever worn liquid or a stick or complexion rescue.
Definitely give it a go!
Thank you for making a video using both the complexion rescue AND the BarePro
I have both the Complexion Rescue as well as the Mac fix plus powder foundation but never tried them in combination. Will def try this combo tomorrow!! Thanks for the video and congrats on 100k subscribers 💝💐

Love this video and I also lobe that it cosmetics blush brush for a lot of uses.

I LOVE powder foundation. Been using Mac studio fix for YEARS🙌🏼
Will try pressed powder foundation for the first time. Not a fan of foundation but this routine sounds great! Thank you
I found using a blush or any fluffier brush works really well with applying powder foundation on me too. It’s just a more natural finish. Thanks for making this vdo!
Thank you Shelby, this is great for everyone, especially elderly combination people! The areas are not so much dry as dehydrated!
I love effortless looks that look amazing as well!
Thanks!!
I'm so glad I found your channel! I'm a powder user now!!

Your videos are really making me want to try powder foundation! I have combo/oily skin though. One of my biggest issues right now is getting suncreen to not get gross/pill up underneath my makeup. I wonder if powder foundation would help with that?

Thank you so much for this wonderful tutorial. Can u plz show how with finger u smudged d aquaxl😊😊😊
Hi Shelbey! Do you have a recent powder foundation routine? It’s almost summer and I wanna know what your new routine is and your fave products 😊
Oml BUFF. The step I never do with powder foundation. And here I was complaining about how bad powder foundations are for years. Thankyou so much for the knowledge, I almost throw a new pressed foundie! Now I'mma give it a try
This is so pretty! Would you think BarePro would be OK for an 80 yr old lady? If not what do you suggest?
what about SPF? how do you incorporate that into the makeup routine without getting it rubbed off when buffing powder over it? i'm afraid i might end up causing the SPF to start pilling after all that buffing in
Going to try the lighter shade as a highlight/concealer
My fav youtuber😍 especially because u use bare minerals and powder foundations xx
Love love love!! Thanks for this video! Super helpful.. also CONGRATS ON hitting 100k subscribers!!! You deserve it!!!
Thanks so much!
Could you do a eyebrow tutorial? They look so good and so natural! I thought I had to use a primer when using the studio fix powder because my pores look HUGE. Thank you!!!!

The perfect video since I watched your best powder foundations video earlier today.
Congrats on 100k! 🎉
Thank you!
Love these videos! I love powder foundation. Are you going to try the new bareminerals foundation where you color match with an app on your phone? Also, they now make a pressed powder form of well rested that is sold on QVC. I'm loving it!
Yes. Actually, the Made-2-Fit foundation is arriving tomorrow! And the pressed well rested sounds awesome!

trueosmondfan ditto
I use a natural toner in a spray bottle when I wear mineral foundation. I don't like the store fixers.
Would well rested work for dry under eyes? I've been struggling with concealer cracking from how dry my chronically dry skin is 🤦🏻♀️
Brianna Leary Girl, me too 😣
Try the BareMinerals BareSkin concealer. It's a serum and it's very hydrating for the under eye. And the coverage is AMAZING!!
Can you talk about why you DON'T like Laura Geller Balance N Brighten and It Cosmetics Celebration Foundation??
Balance and Brighten offered little coverage on me and almost a chalky appearance. IT Cosmetics Celebration and Celebration Illumination both looked like cheap powder sitting on top of my skin, no matter what I did to apply it.
Thank you!
L M Turner yep you're right! Everyone is different. I worked for bareMinerals for 5 years so I really gained experience in proper application. There's definitely a technique to getting great coverage and it's not always brought to the consumer's attention. I had issues with IT's coloring system in the powder too. Thanks for posting! I love all of your bareMinerals tutorials, they have really helped me up my game :) Have you heard anything about the new bareMinerals Made 2 Fit foundation?
Yep! It's arriving tomorrow and I'll be reviewing it next week! :)
Can't wait!
Gorgeous!!
Is the pressed foundation still good for acne prone skin like the bare minerals would be?
Thank you Shelby. I truly appreciate your tutorials. I am a Bare Minerals lover too and always go back to it. I have recently discovered the Bare Pro on one of my trips back to Bare Mineral land, LOL! Can you address how someone with slightly oily skin would approach a powered foundation such as Bare Pro? Shelbey Wilson thank you. I have the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue in my drawer so I will try your trick and use that underneath.
what's your favorite bare minerals foundation? keep doing bare minerals videos I love them and can count on a honest opinion from you!
is the Complexion Rescue suitable for combination skin type? thanks :D
I know this video is older, but I’d love to see you use a Mac Face & Body as a base then the Mac Studio Fix Powder Foundation over top!!!
Wowwwwww!!!! You look beautiful
Love the look ! I have been trying out this look and love it ! But want to get the Mac powder!
It's a game changer!
Wow I love this
New subscriber!
Do a review on tarte cosmetics please I have only used bare minerals but people tells me that tarte it's better
Hi Shelbey,
Sorry to put this question in public but I was quite excited to see your brows because they are quite like mine.
What do u think of It Cosmetic's Celebration Foundation Illumination...
can you link that brush pretty please?
wow. I didn't know u could get at full coverage from powder foundation, but u did.
:)
Hi girl have you ever tried PUR minerals pressed powder foundation? I really like it a lot so just curious!! :)
Yes recently! It was okay! Wasn't blown away!
I think if you have minimal imperfections/blemishes on the skin, CR offers a medium coverage. I like both loose and pressed powder on top!
Rebeca da Costa This is the approach I take with a lighter tinted moisturizer type if product. I use that, a good concealer, and then a really good setting powder and think it looks really nice as natural for everyday.
Can you do a review of the new bareminerals fresh face foundation?
New subscriber, just watched a bunch of your videos. I recently switched to powder only foundation, no more liquid for me but I'm having a hard time finding a good powder brush. Some waste too much product, others bristles are too loose or too packed. Can you do a video on your favorite brushes please? I know you mentioned the blush brush in this video. - thanks
Candychocolove1 did you ever try using a beauty blender with the powder?
I love it,beautiful makeup
Simple and gorgeous
Have you ever used Merle Norman's pressed powder foundation?
What are some good drugstore powder foundations?
im to cheap to get high end makeup.....
Nyx Stay matte but not flat is a good dupe for Studio Fix Powder Foundation! I've heard BH Cosmetics has another good powder foundation and L'oreal has a Mineral loose powder too
