Bloody hell, I have reached the end of my binge of Classic Robot Wars. Its been a fun ride reliving my childhood by watching bots getting turned into metallic corpses whilst working from home during the lockdown. Thanks for uploading the majority of the episodes
It would have been nice for them to just pick the series back up again, did anyone want it rebooted with a new host? I know Craig isn't everyones cup of tea but he's a huge part of Robot Wars.

The final between Storm 2 vs Supernova was messed up. First, the house robots (Refbot) should help Supernova selfright, because in RW it is illegal to use the sidewalls to immobilize a robot (unlike battlebots, otherwise Razer should be counted out in many battles before). Second, Shunt illegally flipped over Storm 2 when Supernova was still in the game. Everything was messed up and it definitely made both teams unhappy.
Storm 2 deserved that punishment from Shunt because if you look in the background at 43:15, you will clearly see Storm 2 trying to attack Shunt.... so they deserved the retaliation... Also love how at 43:35 shut flips Storm 2, then backs off.... then comes straight back with the axe XD.
Supernova was ruled immobilized and Shunt flipped over Storm 2 because Supernova was counted out. Storm 2 has already said the producers asked them if Shunt could stack them against the grinder once Supernova was immobilized.
@@NightHawk12to81 Well in that case the whole thing was fixed (I don't mean Storm beating Supernova, that looked genuine, but Storm getting immobilised) and Craig talking about a narrow judges decision was complete BS since Supernova had had clearly lost at that point. Though they may not have told Craig about it.
Supernova, Crushtacean, Spartacus, Hard, Snake Bite, Ansgar 3, and Tough As Nails qualified for the world championships during the 7th wars special events.
43:35 is the reason why Shunt is my favourite house robot.... It can take on ANY robot and push it around.... You could find a real use for Shunt in the real world... like on a building yard or something....
No, Shunt can push a robot thats side facing because it has way less resistance, in reality there are plenty of robots that can out push him since he only has 2 wheels and his drive motors arent strong enough to compensate. He also has no uses in the real world other than chopping wood.
While Storm 2 never succeeded in actually winning Series 7 due to a controversial judges’ decision, winning the Third World Championship somewhat made up for that.
The world championship was basically a glorified friendly tournament, "world" in name only, the robots other than the main 2 here (Tornado and Storm 2) were trash, none of them other than the 2 mentioned would have got out the heats of our UK championship. Basically they tried to beef up the series with silly gimmicks.
@@therebel4332 I dunno, I think Tough As Nails was impressive, Ansgar had some potential, and Supernova could've been good if it didn't have so many problems with reliability. But yeah, most of the robots here were pretty underwhelming.
It's not the judges you should be blaming. The scoring system puts more weight on damage, and they judges weren't allowed to personally inspect for damage because Typhoon 2 internally was a wreck.
Again i'm really grateful that you've re uploaded the 7th wars and uploaded the other 3, out of interest I know you're starting on the 6th wars but do you have all of Series 2 and Extreme 2.
Extreme 2 is a yes, while I have part of Series 2. Basically, I have up to Heat F - which was the point Challenge ended their last broadcast schedule of Series 2 - as well as other latter heats that Challenge showed around 2014 time. Hopefully, by the time Extreme 2 is uploaded, Challenge will be showing Series 2 again so I can guarantee a full upload of that series too.
Heat 1 was almost a joke - three barely-mobile bots at the end. Though Supernova's weaponry was certainly effective. Heat 2 was not much better, Crushtacean was the only reliable bot. Heat 3, on the other hand, that was the real thing. Ansgar would have been a serious contender in any other heat, probably the only walking robot that was ever effective. But Tornado and Son of Tornado were impressive, going full tilt at each other for the full duration, Storm was fairly definitely the winner but it could have gone the other way at any moment, and both bots running at full power to the end. That's how you build a robot! I would have liked to see Ansgar in the next heat instead, against Rawbot and Tough as Nails. Would have been a more even match for Ansgar, and would have given Tough as Nails some work to do. Supernova got working properly for their fight against Crushtacean, one good whack of that flywheel was all it needed. Storm is really quite a small robot when you see it facing Tough as Nails. But of course they both weigh the same. When Storm pushed Nails over the pit, I really thought Tough as Nails was suddenly going to get some grip and fly back off the pit and let Storm fall in it, it would have been a really dramatic and ironic reversal. Like the fight with Tornado, I backed up and watched this one twice. The final, Supernova's disc just bounced off the front of Storm2. The impacts probably damaged Supernova as much as they did Storm. Storm 2 were well in control. They deserved their win. But what the hell was bloody Shunt doing, trying to screw with the result? Hard to tell with the crappy TV editing of the video, but it didn't look like Storm were anywhere near the CPZ. The whole series would be better off without the house thugbots stuffing around with it.
In the storm mellee Pearce manages to say we've waited for storm 2 and tornado to meet for a long time, (they'd just met in series 7), said tornado won series 7 (errr....) And said storm 2 was the one with the interchangeable weapon. The fight was so boring you'd think he'd have time to look at his notes and get things right!
@@mikeywest2007 It was all filmed after on the same day as the final of series 7 I think. Typhoon had to pull out because of to many repairs needed to be redone after their final with Storm 2.

In reality, Spartacus were immobiled first before Supernova. The judges would've intervened if the Refbot counted out Supernova because this robot was better than the other two.
The series wasn't over yet, though. It wasn't just the UK Championship it consisted of, but the Annihilator, All-Stars and Third World Championship as well. New seedings were given in the _next_ series, though obviously after this they stopped doing that.
I think tornado deserved to beat storm 2 in the heat. He was doing more of the work in the beginning and pushed storm into sea metal. Storm got the better of him in the last 10 seconds but I didn’t think that was enough
So Tornado pushed Storm 2 into "sea metal" - big deal. It's not like Tornado then put that damage on Storm 2's top, which additionally was superficial only. Storm 2 on the other hand got offense of its own in BEFORE adding more in the last ten seconds. And Storm 2's offense had greater impact overall, including turning Tornado over to where the latter's wedge was useless, therefore it was right for Storm 2 to get the win.
Also, Russia was represented by Weber in the second of the two World Series episodes at the end of Series 10; the last ever episode of Robot Wars to date, in fact. And the closest they've ever had to a Japanese competitor was the Japanese team member Natsuko Hori who was with King B Remix in Series 8. I don't know why no Korean competitor ever entered.
You know competitors from Dutch and German Robot Wars competitors fought in Series 7. Other then Spartacus, It would've been nice if other US bots from Extreme Warriors competed in that series.
Nope. The robot was retired after the team weren’t on the same page anymore, based on their exit from the European Championship in Extreme 2. Still, it’s not like Razer had anything more to accomplish by then. To this day it remains the most successful fighting robot of all.

Jesus christ am i glad no other series of this nor Battlebots shows so much favouritism (or in this case, disdain for storm 2)

The scheduling for the show kept jumping all over the place, which caused me to miss many episodes.
It was getting more interesting as the robots evolved and the style of games changed. Should have carried on

The ways shunt stayed in the way of storm 2, making him look immobile pisses me off. Storm could have used its lifter to self right.

China have only recently got into the robot combat scene. I'd recommend checking out King of Bots if you haven't already.
