Team hybrid is an option sure BUT if you do the research companies are only doing that to get your foot in the door slowly, two days will turn into three days and then three days will be five days in office as if a whole pandemic didn’t happen last year and technically were still in a pandemic and then there will be no work life balance it’s all a game so to me team hybrid is just a trick..so I’m team full time WFH if you can
Hybrid is not safe, because the mask mandate has been lifted, and nobody really wants to sit anywhere near a group of unvaccinated, unmasked individuals, or anti-vaxxers.
OMG, what u just predicted happened to my company! First they gave an option whether u wanna fully WFH or go hybrid. Then middle this year they told us to come to office 2 days per week and just 3 days ago, they announced that we must go to the office THREE days a week effective January 2024. I am guessing they will tell us to come 5 days a week in the future!!!!@@85misstiffany

I work from home and have for most of the past 15 years. It is a luxury that I was dreaming about for ages before I got to it (I had to start my own business) and I am so happy with it!

My job is similar to Anna’s. My desk is also next to my bed so there is literally no separation between work n life. I’d also choose hybrid model as well but forced to work from home permanently due to my team members all moved out of the city during covid and they’re not coming back lol so no point for me in the office by myself. One thing is that I miss from the office is free-provided breakfasts, lunches and snacks so I don’t need cook (and I don’t know to cook but have to learn during covid)

I hated working from home. I never got to leave, never really had much interaction with others and the days seem to just lag on forever. Was so happy when the boss called me back into the office.

After COVID, my job is leaning more towards a hybrid approach. Which I absolutely love. I have little ones so I appreciate being able to save on daycare costs!

When I was young I wish I got up earlier in the morning and took time and care of myself first before starting my day. Feeling pulled together and having put some thought on my day so respond ing to my day rather than reacting. I think people trust people more who consistently look pulled together. You dont have to be a boss to come across as a leader or stake holder in what ever you are up to. Late hour relaxing was a waste of time. PS i think you both are adorable and like how you seem to push each other to stay in shape and live lives you love.

This was so fun to watch 🤩 I love that you highlighted the fact that you always want what you don’t have at work. We can’t have it all sometimes and we just make do with what we have. I’m a hybrid gal with Anna
I feel Work from office sets us up with a routine. All chores will be done early. No office calls beyond 5pm. While all days work from office is stressing. I like - 2 day WFH and the rest WFO.
WFH will be better organised and productive if we are alone(students) but when there are people around(marries and kids), we constantly have distractions.
Hybrid modality I would prefer ...I had both ways last year.
I am currently working at the office but I have done both and I DEFINITELY prefer working from home! Btw, I loved seeing Anas take on work life!

Loved today's vlog, it was fun ! The way you edited it made it even more interesting. I am currently working from home. I miss the social interaction and there is no separation between work and home life. Whenever I am not working even during breaks I am busy doing home chores. It gets exhausting. I will go for work from office or hybrid ! And Anna's debut was bomb! 😂❤

I went to school from home throughout the whole pandemic for college and 1month of online University. I worked in person at a restaurant and now work in person at an office. I can honestly say that despite the conveniences of doing school/work from home, I’d rather be in person for both

I have a hybrid role at the moment. It's usually most days from home, one or two in the office for a few hours. I also only work 3 minutes away from home so either way it's not terrible for me. I love my workplace.

Loved this vlog! I work from home as a reading tutor. Very different from in-classroom teaching life. I say yes to all pro's and con's you listed, and will add that I'm thankful that I'm safer from COVID here! I live with my husband and mother-in-law, and they are both at home full time too. So we eat all our meals together, my husband and I can take hug breaks whenever we want. I also like that I have time to be really involved in my church, my housework, and my friendships by working at home. I just put all that on one to-do list and treat them all like a job (minus the friendships, obvi).

Great video! I used to work full time in an office, but then my office building got shut down so I've been WFH since last year. It was a bit of an adjustment, but I still try to get ready for the day like when I used to into the office. And it's nice having my kitty co-workers keeping me company. :-)

I can totally relate to your office life. I also work for my parents business (so does my husband) and we never had the opportunity to work from home. Our business sells cleaning/sanitizing equipment so we were especially busy throughout COVID. Very grateful to have the job I have 💞 love your vids! So relatable for me.

I am 100% at home, I changed careers from being a teacher to data acquisition specialist. I would say hybrid is what I would like best because I miss being with people, but I like all the things Anna mentioned.

The lighting at 6:30 is just insane! You look gorgeous in this morning soft light 🙌 I used to work in hybrid system from March to June, but now we have the option to work from home full time until the end of August. I do not plan to come to office until then 😂 I work as a data analyst (that's why I was super interested in Anna's part in this video haha) and I love working only from home, I have my working space set up so perfectly that I can really focus there. Plus, this gives me more time to spend with my fiance as he is also working remotely full time.
Brilliant content idea. For reports, I have to rely on data scientists in my comms role. Anna is so much like my analytics team work friends 😂. I stare at words all day, so it was nice to see glimpse of how much it takes to visualize data.
You girls are funny. Loved it!! I love both I would like to do half week work from and remainder at office just to socialize a bit.

Team hybrid all the way as well! I've mostly had weeks with 1 or 2 office days and 3 or 4 work from home days and it's been perfect. I have some tasks that can only be done on-site so I go in when there's stuff like that on the agenda and as a bonus I get to socialize with the others who came in that day. I'm actually less productive on office days than on WFH days because of the socializing but I can feel my mental health suffering when I'm home for too many days in a row. Working from home has been surprisingly great for tasks that require lots of focus (no chatty coworkers!) and makes it a lot easier to get some exercise and morning meditation done.
Bring Ana... She was awesome.. Loved seeing both of your work schedules, since I have only known wfh as I joined my first job during covid... I am still just imagining the office life... But hybrid is actually kinda nice.. Best of both worlds and no one can say no to that. ☺

I work from home and my company officially decided to let us work from home BUT I honestly would love to work at the office because I do tend to slack a lot and the access to FOOOOD every hour is not doing me justice at home lol
I think it depends on where you are in life and the type of work. I love my job that's in an office but alot of work comes home with me. Now that I have a family I would like to leave that job and work from home full time. I commute 30-40 minutes to work and home. I don't want to commute anymore and since I already bring my work home with me I think I'll find a full time remote job. 🤞🏾
I've been stuck (literally sleeping and working) in the office for 10 months because of lockdown before I got the WFH setup. I prefer what I have now because I don't need to get along with some of my coworkers who's affecting my mental health. Also, I'm learning how to budget and manage my time well with this kind of setup. Btw, I love your frienship!💙
I love that car chat! I was so jealous of my friends back then, cos most of my friends, wfh and i have to work in the office cos its a new job. It took months for me also to get over that and a lot of crying because i need a job and that job needs to be in an office. But now I've been working from home since March due to covid surge in our area so i requested to temporarily wfh. Hopefully they can extend me to wfh til August pls pray for me!
I miss talking to friends and coworkers during this wfh. I miss catching up with them and getting dinner after work. Now im glad to wfh cos i can be with my family and our pets so savouring this time until i get back to the office.

Hi Rachel every week I see your vlogs they are nice, I work in the night shift as a Customer Support and Coordinator I am working from home for more than a year now, my office is in Dubai but I am in my country Pakistan, I prefer to work from home as I can do a lot of other things, in my life. I support team WFO! My motivation goes too low when on WFH plus I feel I have the whole day to complete my task why hurry! Which is really bad as it affects the work- personal life balance. Whereas when I am at the office I make targets to complete within a specific time.

This was such a fun and informative video lol. But I (will) work from home (just got an internship, starting in a couple weeks). When I was in my master's program, which I did for the past 2 years, it was hybrid bc sometimes I was in class or teaching class and sometimes I was working from home if I had nothing or if the class was online. I definitely prefer hybrid. It's nice to have a mix of days where you don't have to get ready vs when you do, and not having to think about lunch beforehand.

I'm similar to you in a sense that I work in the A/E/C industry, but I'm strictly WFH. Our company has offered a hybrid approach but it isn't mandatory. Since I specifically work in marketing, I don't need to go into the office and honestly love it. My desk is also in my room, but not directly next to the bed so that's helpful. I think a big thing for me is mentally stepping away from my room for breaks and turning off my work brain during off hours. I love WFH because of taking care of chores when I'm not swamped with work or multitasking. I also get a lot of productive non work things done before I log onto my comp. I've starting to go to a workout class first thing in the morning and am able to be back in time to "get ready" for work and start my day.
I work from home and love all the pros BUT I’m with Anna and like the hybrid approach. I go in once every six weeks for sure but sometimes more often and my body and mind LOVE the normalcy but I hate getting ready. Worrying about lunch. Etc :)
I have been working from home for the past 2.5 years (before the pandemic) and I love it. I do need to have some more routines and structure since working from does lead to apathy. I prefer working from home but I also work tech support so I get a lot of interaction during the day

Also I definitely understand the pros and cons of both wfh and working in person. I was in the pharmacy industry for years before and during the thick of covid and was able to move to a job a few months ago in a different industry where I do get to wfh. So I got the best and worst of both worlds 😊

At the beginning of COVID, I had to work in the office. Last November I started a new job and it has been all remote minus one day a month we go in for a couple hours. This is my first job working from home and I love it lol. My team is most likely staying remote full time, or maybe doing 2-3 days a week. My management is pushing for only remote. Honestly, as much as I love being remote, I wouldn’t mind going in twice a week just to see my coworkers and get out of the house. I never minded going into the office, so I do miss some aspects of working in the office. But I can’t complain lol. They both definitely have pros and cons.
At my work , management put us on the loop. We thought we were going to be shut down like everyone else. Nope. They kept us working. Then everyone got sick

Ive been WFH for 16 months. I started a job in the last year and I agree that the downside of WFH is that it's been really hard to train, learn the work culture, and understand expectations. I also really miss having people just to chit chat with where it isn't forced. However, no one discussed this but office life was always SUPER distracting. Open concept offices are the absolute worst. There's a ton of noise, meetings happening around you, colleagues randomly interrupting your workflow and stopping by to say hi or have a chat about a project. While I love the social elements, that environment is so unproductive and every office I've worked at had people working after hours to get things done because of how much the environment can sabotage your work.
I agree about the distractions, I have my own office but there are always people coming in and out asking questions and it can disrupt my focus!

We worked from home for months, then went back to the office, then another lockdown for the month of July - we going back to the office in the next week or 2. I prefer working from home 👌👌 it's peaceful for me

I work in the food manufacturing industry and we were deemed an essential service throughout the pandemic. That means that we never shutdown during Covid, we kept operations open practically 24/7. Half our workforce continued working full-time at the facility and the other half (mostly office workers) were able to WFH. I split it evenly so that I have a good balance of the two - 2-3 days at the office and 2-3 days at home. To be honest, I prefer working at the office but I'm also happy not having to commute 5 days a week. I'm not going to start complaining because I know I'm speaking from a place of privilege.
