@@boxingpedia is there any underrated heavyweight boxers you’d recommend me watch? I know all about the greats in that divison but when it comes to the underrated guys and fun guys to watch from the old eras from like the 50s - 2000s I’m not as knowledge on it and would like to be
@Burner-ui2fb I'd recommend Ritch the Fight Historian for the underrated warriors of the sport if you wanna see some stuff now before I get around to it. Off the top of my head I'd say look into Cleveland BIG CAT Williams (before his police incident), Eddie Machen, Zora Folley, David Bey, Jimmy Young, Ike Ibeabuchi, and the 4 Black Kings who were iced out during the reign of Jack Johnson. George Chuvalo is another who never won the belt but was never knocked down in his long career. He fought from the 50s to the 70s.

I know around that time unfortunately a lot of black boxers where treated bad and it took awhile for them to get their shot at titles with Johnson being the first or one of the first black boxers to hold a major belt but I didn’t know about the 4 black kings
@@Burner-ui2fb Sam McVey, Joe Jeanette, Sam Langford, and Harry Wills are the lost Kings. I'll be covering them down the line. The politcs around them and their rivalry for the World Colored Championship. These guys were the real deal, especially Langford. Jack Johnson knew he would've had his hands very full if he'd allowed them into the title picture.
Listening to this one for the 6th time while at work. Still waiting on the Tyson Holyfield rivalry and history vid/doc from the stories when they first met and became friends in the Olympic tryouts. To the failed fights in the early 90s, and both of their comebacks in 95 and fights a year later. I know you’d do it proper justice with a knowledgeable and unbiased narration. Especially since there isn’t a proper vid on that here on TH-cam. I think it’ll do great and the comments will explode with the Tyson and Holyfield fans rivalry. L

Too much is made about how bad Tyson was against Douglas. He was partying too much and not at his best, but he was no worse than when he fought Tony Tucker and Bonecrusher Smith. Buster never got enough credit for what an amazing fight he fought.

Just a random thought, what if Buster Douglas had kept his form and the Tokyo version of Douglas was around to challenge Holyfield , Bowe and Lewis ? This would have pushed the 90s ahead of the 70s.
Foreman had little chance with Tyson in 1990. Too soon. He took a lot of shots from Holyfield in 1991, imagine it were punches from Tyson. But to be fair, a lot of fighters had a chance to beat Mike during that "one night in Tokio".
