My Theory is that Mari was abandoned by her parents and she met someone and cared for her (which is Felix) and Felix gave her the paint brushes ,the dolls, and dresses but she didn’t want that. All she wanted is to be loved because her parents didn’t care about her that much. soon as she died her soul transferred into a puppet but wanting revenge (this is just a theory from me and sorry if this doesn’t make sense)
