Yup, very picturesque part of Crete, lots of cats, lots of souvloki with ziziki, and sea food by the bucket full. I'm very jealous, haven't been there in 22 years. I think its time to go back. Great little video, and I'd love to hear your long term review of the Nikon F4 at some point down the road. Cheers

I saw the first photo of the drinks on the umbrella table thing and immediatly thought: I know this place!
And I was right! I was in Chania two times, and also one time at that "pink beach". I also did shoot at that water front of the town. So cool!
Btw, even if this wasn't reminding me of my own vacation a few years ago: Amazing videos, and great photos. I love your content!
I have a question regarding your content. I am planning my next trip and was wondering how you record your videos. Would you mind sharing your setup?

Chania definitely has a special place in our hearts :) thanks for watching, I’m glad it brought back good memories.
All clips in this video were recorded with a Blackmagic pocket cinema 4k and a canon 24-105 f4 lens for 90% of the shots and remaining with an 8mm SLR magic lens. I shot in BRAW format and so recorded on to an external drive. a variable ND is always on the lens for those sunny days.
I have since changed my setup, for portability, to a Fuji XH2 and carry one or two prime lenses (23mm & 35mm) depending on the day. A lot lighter than my Blackmagic setup, but very capable camera producing excellent results.

Nice video, would love to visit Greece sometime myself as well. Have you found acceptable 35mm scans with the V600? I'm looking into getting back to self-scanning, although I used to have a Epson 4990, while 120 scans are acceptable, I could never get good results with 35mm scans.

Hi Eric! Thank you :) I think you picked the right word to describe it in your question haha, compared to how the 120 scans come out in V600, 35mm scans are only ‘acceptable’. A dedicated 35mm scanner or digital camera would do a better job I’d think, although I have not tried either yet, so can’t really comment on the margin of quality.
For getting good 35mm scans with a flatbed I can recommend watching this - th-cam.com/video/dYcQX5cGaIs/w-d-xo.html and for scanning with a digital camera - th-cam.com/video/0OXNCJqJFrc/w-d-xo.html
