Lol, in my RWBY deck that I'm making, I'm running the new lv1 green CXC and the 3/2 Blake hestia cxc with the Weiss restand from set 1. It is both hilarious, fun, and wildly inconsistent. In testing with similar set 1 cards (like the 3/2 yang cxc and 1/0 penny CXC), it's either a blow out for me or the opponent. It usually depends on if I got the Salem stock-swap off before a Weiss restand and hestia combo. 10/10 will meme again. Unironically though, the lv0 suite of cards in RWBY is incredible.
So, I will say this. The product overall is pretty disappointing. Especially compared with the overall power of the newer JP sets. With the exception of Seven Deadly Sins Set 2 and to an extent Avatar, ENG exclusives have been underwhelming power-wise. Now, with that said, I do hope/think more people will give RWBY another try when this comes out and I hope with some banlist additions, this has a chance to shine again.
Congrats to Dean and Devin for making Top 8 at Duluth!
