11/16 spline socket will fit 1/2 inch drive bought a set harbor freight 14 dollars regular socket they did not have deep well but it works fine a little tight tap on
There are bigger springs under this “head”. That’s where my problem ended up…a broken spring. Here’s a link to the video explaining the problem: th-cam.com/video/FRWRsbk2GcU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=PN9bbvjY-JgMdhjI If it’s the wrong video let me know and I’ll find the right one.
I have a 1984 Ford TW25. One of my ports is leaking/weeping ever so slightly and it irritates me. After awhile it makes a mess. Is it that oring? What size is the oring/or what is the part number?
I have a leak on left or aft return exactly the one you pulled apart. I bought the splined socket and wondered if the leak could be just the thread is maybe too loose or the washer is compromised. It’s a small dribble. Annoying as hell.
I would pull the delivery valve and make sure the surfaces are flat and aren’t corroded/eroded. If it leaks where it leaves the head at the return line then it’s probably the crush washer needs to be changed. Also check where the lines go into each delivery valve. The compression fitting may have a slight deformity. Have you checked my other video? th-cam.com/video/FRWRsbk2GcU/w-d-xo.htmlsi=80oEXD4W0CjaKWon I hope this helps and good luck with it!
thanks, i have a ford 4500 backhoe sitting for 7 yrs wont hit start i think the one way check valves are stuck , i hate 4 stroke diesels i wish it was a gas tractor!!!!!
I don’t know which pump you have, but this video might help you also. There’s a slide on the side of the pump that sticks when it hasn’t run a while. If it’s stuck, the tractor won’t even fire off on ether. th-cam.com/video/FRWRsbk2GcU/w-d-xo.html
@@JimmyJamesHopper you are exactly right !!!!!! i changed the oil in pump and took side cover off and the rack was stuck , pried it with screwdriver and freed right up. put back together and it fired right up, funny but i rebuilt the the engine about 9 years ago and forgot just about all of what i knew about it!!! i had tried to start it with either and it would not even hit!! thank you for posting your video helped me out alot now i know what is in the pump , thanks!!!
@@johnbecker5213 Awesome!! I’m glad the my video helped. It’s very satisfying to fix something yourself. I want to do some more videos with that tractor. I’m going to replace the other 3 injectors later this spring. I put a hydraulic pump on it a year or so ago, but didn’t record that…I wish I had. Next time I service the power steering stuff I may video that. Again, I’m glad it helped you!
Well done. Just received the gasket kit from the UK. Will start tomorrow to pull out the same one that’s leaking.
Good luck, man! Be sure to keep us informed.

Thanks👍🏻🇸🇪
Pump is still running strong!
I’ve got a ford 5000 with that first injector misfiring. I can’t figure it out to save my life? Is my pump going bad?

Not familiar with that one, man. But I’d certainly look at the simplest things first, like o-rings then check flared fittings for damage, etc.
