Preferred places to lie down reminds me of my beautiful boy Inka (miniature shetland) who is no longer with us. He loved gravel particulary, sand was second favourite ! Couldn't contain himself when that was underfoot. Flop, straight down he'd go for a good roll. We took him back to visit his breeder when he was 3 and he rolled on her smartly raked drive messing it all up !!
It’s so funny isn’t it, they have the nicest and deepest bed in their stable. But ALWAYS seems to lie down outside, even when it’s raining 🤣. In the summer I think it’s because the concrete is so cold, but in the winter I have no idea!!!
Also do you have any tips or tricks on how to encourage a miniature Shetland not to nibble you?! He is teething at the moment and wants to chew everything and he loves a good scratch but it can turn into a nibble if he gets carried away 🙈
How have you taught them to walk beside you and not run off? Please could you do a video on how you have taught your two to walk nicely and know when to stop?! They are both so cute together 🥰
It takes lots of practice and repetition. Try saying “stand” every time you stop and repeat. Praise when they do it well and with lots of practice you should be there 😃
