Giovanni Price Sr I got spice bomb this month from scentbox and I thought I was going to like it but when I got it it smelled like a ladies perfume to me. I'm still wearing it to give it a chance and it is growing on me a little bit. I just don't think it represents my style well

I narrowed my choices down to Paco R.'s 1 Million prive, D&G's The One EDP or T. Mugler's Pure Havane. Based off your reviews I def headed in the right direction! Last thing, I see the background display has changed up just a lil bit. Am I the only one curiously excited to see what Steven is going to display on his shelves next?
The first few hours on Tom Ford Noir Extreme can't be beat! I can still catch wafts of this through out the day. On my second bottle of pure havane. Happy to have it back into my collection.

Great review as expected. Not at all surprised that the house of Guerlain has two that made it to your list. For fall, I like woody, gourmand scents. I am using Tom Ford's Tobacco Vanille for special events as I think it is too overpowering for the daytime. I cannot wait to buy the Guerlain scents that you featured.

These aren't the easiest to pull off (now that you've been to SoCal you can see why). Shame because I love the sweeter frags and gourmands.
1 Million Privé was my Christmas scent. My favorite this fall I think was Burberry Brit Rhythm for Men. I wore that the most this fall. Next to it I would say is Bvlgari Man in Black.
My boyfriend loves and wears these kinds of fragrances....dark, tobacco, smokey, dry hay but sweet type of fragrances so now I have specific options for him, I can tell they would suit him well. Thanks!!

Hey Steven, hope you had a great Christmas. I have a question regarding fragrances expiring or going bad. I have 1/5 of the qty of fragrances you have so I'm wondering... How often do you go thru and thin out your collection? I know I've gone thru some bottles and sprayed and they don't smell good at all. I keep my bottles in a dark cabinet and the room never gets too hot, I make sure of that. So I'm curious how you do it or when you decide when to get rid of some. Maybe a video on this would be an idea? I don't think you've done one on this topic. Anyway, sorry for the lengthy message. Ch men Prive is fire!! So is 1 million prive. I love the myrrh tobacco combo in the drydown. Tf nior extreme is amazing as well. Those would be my top 3 of all you mentioned.

They're all brown! Well...Noir Extreme is more gold and Spicebomb is more grey, but what a theme! Glad to see Dolcelisir get a mention. That stuff smells like liquid gold. I remember wearing it while watching The Fellowship of the Ring and it always reminds me of the forging of the Ring of Power. All I can say is hurray for gourmands. Hurray.
I did purchase a few of the fragrances from your designer list this year for my college student son who is a fragrance lover in training. He is really enjoying both Pure Havane and Pure Malt as well as Artisanal Blue by John Varvatos, and Black Orchid by Tom Ford - and Creed Aventus that he received for Christmas. Generally however I find these designer fragrances too mundane for my own taste these days and I reach for niche almost every day.
Love the list Steven. Was curious since I like Armani Code Profumo and D and G the one EDP so much, can they be used as date fragrances even in summer? I know they are more fall/winter fragrances but ladies seem to love them and I think for a date night they would be acceptable, not for everyday use though in summer. What’s your opinion?
David Hummel I’m not really an expert on this stuff. But I personally wouldn’t. Fall or winter based(sweeter) fragrances are bit much in hotter months. I also prefer these based colognes because they have that cinnamon, tobacco, or vanilla based notes from my parents house at Christmas. Just my thoughts

I love Noir Extreme....for about an hour. It's one of those fragrances that smells great at first but quickly gets annoying after awhile. I think Pure Malt is the same way.
Ambre sultan, santal majuscule, amber narguile, strictly private, tobacco oud, leather blend, a*men, l'air du desert marocain, man in black, tabac rouge, supreme oud, le male essence de parfum, honey aoud, individuel and ch men prive. Not necessarily in that order lol. Merry Christmas x
I'm having a hard time pinpointing what I like when it comes to cold weather fragrances. I can't stand scents like Pure Havanne or Bijou Romantique, but I absolutely love Bois D'argent... is it the resins or the vanilla-like sweetness that I like/dislike? I like Eau des Baux, but once again, I don't like Pure Havanne. My guess is that I don't like certain resinous notes... or is it the vanilla?

Steven I need a mass pleasing fall winter fragrance for around $55 for work and casual situations what would you recommend? Please note longevity and projection are pretty important for me! When i smelled profumo at first it gave me a 1 million vibe but with some powder
I'm having a hard time pinpointing what I like when it comes to cold weather fragrances. I can't stand scents like Pure Havanne or Bijou Romantique, but I absolutely love Bois D'argent... is it the resins or the vanilla-like sweetness that I like/dislike? I like Eau des Baux, but once again, I don't like Pure Havanne. My guess is that I don't like certain resinous notes... or is it the vanilla?

Steven I need a mass pleasing fall winter fragrance for around $55 for work and casual situations what would you recommend? Please note longevity and projection are pretty important for me! I don't need it to be a monster but I'd like to be able to spray it four times in the morning and be good for the day, if and when you have a moment please toss out a suggestion, thanks!
