- Enjoy the goals and highlights as Real Madrid became Spanish Super Cup champions following a 2-0 win against Athletic Club (Athletic Club 0-2 Real Madrid)! Real Madrid have won the Spanish Super Cup for the 12th time thanks to goals from Luka Modrić and Karim Benzema. Modrić opened the scoring with stunning first-half strike, before Benzema netted a second-half penalty. Thibaut Courtois also saved a penalty late on to complete a wonderful night for Carlo Ancelotti's side.

Militao's red makes no sense as it's a hand ball similar to the penalty we got, it was unintentional. Militao was in the air trying to head the ball but the opposition hits the header & the ball goes into Militao's hand as he was in the air, Militao withdrew his hand quickly.
On a side note, Courtois' save was amazing but he has been amazing this season, especially this match. Benz had a great game, one of his best this season in terms of movement & contributing to play, Modric was amazing, Rodrygo played really well. Vini looked a bit tired but he was marked by 3 players all the time, he should learn from Benz how to move around defenders. Flawless performance, Mendy was a 9 or 10... nothing was coming through the left, ATL gave up that route mostly. Vasquez is improving & should be our main RB tbf.
