    I like the way you did this. One thing I done is to make a plate that goes over the handle on the compound, I bored and pressed a old socket in mine to let you use a 1/4 drive attached to my drill. It slips over the compound handle. Actually I may have made a video either using or making the tool.

    Not measuring after the finish pass on the bit that actually needs to fit in a hole? Gutsy :-)
    I hear you on "good enough," though.
    On another subject, which grade stainless? 304? I would have chickened out and aimed for a thicker finish pass (10 thou) because I break tools when doing recurring in stainless...
